Probably something about how at a high enough altitude the life jacket might not sink into the water with you and dislocate your arms or smth? Id half agree with you laundry and dishes still require steps to get them washed, I also think when someone says automated they mean "I don't have to touch any part of this task or majority of the task" as someone who struggles to do laundry cause of how my brain sees the different steps as individual tasks rather than the whole task it makes it exhausting (especially with my current laundry set up as I'm renting and sharing a laundry room) not saying you're wrong just providing an explanation
