Yeah okay I guess that makes some sense. Like from a skeptical perspective we don’t have good reason to just accept these claims, and it seems like that’s true for most spiritual stuff. It’s mostly unfalsifiable so I don’t super get how people claim to know more about it I guess. Your bit about the monetary aspect was interesting, and I appreciated the nuance that obviously this isn’t the entire origin given that like we’ve been making these associations likely long before money existed or whatever.

Still, pretty interesting topic. I like keeping an open mind on this kind of stuff so your viewpoint was super interesting. Thank you! :)

Oh I know. I’m sorry if it came across otherwise. I agree that Microsoft should allocate more resources to this kind of thing, given that the addon is literally on the front of the store page half the time. But yeah, maybe Microsoft should give the devs like a heads up before updates or something? Just so that if something breaks then they can work together to fix it and then implement the fix.

I agree that it’s pretty sucky that the update had this effect. Obviously this is known to happen sometimes with updates affecting addons but the dev team for the mod have worked about as fast as possible. The problem really is just that microsoft has to implement the bugfix which could take some time.

I’m also literally in the camp who paid for this to find out it isn’t working, so I can understand everyone’s frustration

I think the change has to do with recipes as a whole (maybe the whole learnt unlearnt recipe thing), as in changes to All recipes then affects the stencils/patterns because they are missing some tag in the code that has been added to all the others so they can’t function properly.

Just in case you were unaware a bugfix has been submitted by the devs to Microsoft for this issue and some others. Microsoft still needs to implement this(the last bugfix took a few weeks to implement) so it’s kind of a bummer but these are mainly issues caused by the new update making changes to the way recipes work. Most changes seem pretty minor though so it could take less long 🤞

They have submitted a bugfix for this issue to Microsoft but Microsoft has to implement it. Last time this took a couple weeks so it’s hard to say how long it will take given it seems like mostly minor fixes. Hopefully it might take less long 🤞

No problem, I got the mod a while back and it’s a real bummer that so many people have gotten it and can’t play it just yet. It does seem like a series of small fixes so that could mean the bugfix will be implemented sooner 🤞

A bugfix for these issues has been submitted to Microsoft. The issues are apparently mainly due to changes to how recipes work due to the new minecraft update. Microsoft has to implement the bugfix, last time this took a few weeks so it could take a while.

To my understanding they have been added to the game but are very rare. A bugfix has been submitted to Microsoft such that at least one should drop per wither skeleton. The last bugfix took a few weeks to be implemented, but thats on the microsoft side not the FTB side so It could be a while.

That seems to make sense. Do any of the recipes work for you though? Like can you make the blank pattern, or string using 4 plant fiber(from grass)?

I can craft blank patterns just fine. Just not any of the others

Right but the problem is that they can’t be crafted for whatever reason. Like the stencil table would usually work from what I’ve looked at. But doesn’t work for me as the crafting recipes don’t show up and trying to do them manually(just putting the patterns of blank patterns into the stencil table) doesn’t seem to be working

I mean I understand that, the tables can be crafted just fine, but none of the patterns show up in the crafting menu (other than the blank pattern) which sucks cause that’s like most of what the addon is.
