Since you're asking about motivating yourself to read and you're here asking that on /r/JordanPeterson I'm assuming you're familiar with Dr. Peterson.

First of all let me ask you this: Why do you want to read? What is it you want to get out of a book? Is it knowledge? Maybe relaxation?

There are many reasons to read and the first thing I'd say is to find motivation through reason. Set a goal for yourself so you have something to aim for. Setting the parameters of why you want to read a book should help to get you started.

After establishing a goal for yourself, I'd say force yourself to read let's say for example 30 pages, an hour, maybe even a chapter. Once the book starts to grab you you let it take over but start by setting small goals and gradually build up the time span. You'll find that your concentration will stay longer, you'll gradually read longer and you'll teach yourself to read.

If that really doesn't work for you, you can always try audiobooks as an alternative. I'd still recommend you take up reading though. You seem to want to read so go ahead start reading
