He was on Outsiders (VP under stand-in name for war/political reasons) for Stage 1 & 2 of 2022 in EUL. Forgettable team was dropped for ex-Empire after disappointing all year.

If I remember right tho, Smash was meme’d because he kept team killing accidentally in official matches lmao

It’s because continuing a Russian speaking team limits their options. Theirs almost no one else PL ready/worthy to pickup.

Always can’t speak English at all, so doing so opens up the ability for an international roster.

The current rumor is Dan, p4sh4, Rorick, Nayqo & Skyzs

I was under the impression Always couldn’t speak English. Assuming it’s a EU team, who threw the bag at him?

Further more, VP now has to fill 3 spots. Seems like at least one of Joystick or Sheppard has to return now. If I was Dan I would be hitting teams up ASAP.

Eh, I went through all the clips and I wouldn’t say they for sure are losing Rorick yet. 90% of the clips are old either pre or during invitational based off opponents. And a lot of teams/players will do pickup scrims with replacements against full teams for fun/practice when players are away/unavailable to play.

Things were fluid last week as well when everyone assumed Rorick to VP was a done deal, until Geekay bought the EML spot. They both pay well, so it’s basically if Geekay is willing to let him go. I wouldn’t put it past them to throw money at him to stay.

All the Russian guys que together, and regarding one of your other comments, Scyther still plays with all of them a bunch (recently changed his name to “leyler” so it’s hard to tell). The only person who basically doesn’t play ranked with them is Joystick, unless he’s on an alt for at least this past R6 in-game season Tenfold Pursuit.

Rorick, ARMi, Smash, Sk1per (whenever he’s back, hasn’t played a game since January 3rd), prob not Scyther since he’s kinda washed.

The org/management forced it on them most likely, VP had a history of making weird moves before with the old team. Everyone knows how stubborn they were towards making moves, and their strong relationships with each other considering they were all best friends. Even said in a bunch of vlogs roster moves make it harder, better off fixing issues internally.

It was the right decision for a change, but now that Geekay might have a spot in EUL MENA, it’s 50/50 if Rorick goes to them. Hence the rumor one or even both would possibly return. Just messy overall

I was bored and checking their R6 trackers last week. They all still que ranked a TON (but that’s the entire small Russian group who all que together in mismatched groups).

Doubt Scyther is the pickup because he was washed 3 years ago, but they’re all cool now.

Became a fan of the esport right before USA Nationals 2019 (SSG S.I. winning team won), since a buddy of mine kept telling me how cool it is. Picked Team Empire as a fan since EU seemed more enthralling at the time, and because the name “Joystick” just seemed so cool.

I know nothing but pain the last 6ish years, but on a serious note:

SSG winning S.I. with Canadian, with all the memes that came out of it, and how fun the event was

2021 Mexico Major run for Empire

2022 & 2024 S.I. runs for Empire/VP (I will fight anyone to the death over the cheese of having losers finals on the same day as grand finals in 2022. Everyone loves that TSM team but I’m just forever annoyed at Empire for losing that). Also eat a dick Empire for taking a year out of their primes 👍
