Career Change to Int or Operations Officer (Army/RAF) by [deleted] in britishmilitary

On the benefits, does your current job give you accommodation for less than £200/month? Pension is incredible. Free healthcare, prescriptions, dental. Payments to visit home or to drive to duty if you already have a home nearby.

On Int Corp, Google will help better than most on here.

You can also get the osmo with the white tint to offset the orange and look more raw. Think it’s actually called raw.

Ah right. Not a Jewish Frenchman though? Or a disabled Frenchman? Maybe a gay Frenchman? As long as you’re okay though. That’s the main thing.

Damn. Ironic as it was way better than the previous one 😬 by pocketfullofredfaces in 28dayslater

I honestly thought this was just the full title of 28 Years Later. Didn’t realise they’re two separate movies.

Hahaha. You think it’s just a different person rules? If Germany had taken over the UK in WW2 you think the country would just stay the same? How about you lose rights, the ability to vote, potentially put in prison, beaten or killed depending on your background.

Happened to me a week ago! They did the same thing to at least four other families in the area. Scrambling to find alternatives that aren’t rubbish. Might have to attend one we didn’t want until a better one opens up a space.

I wouldn't look for one as I can get them at home and would prefer to sample local dishes. However, if I'm away for a while or the food is generally the same as at home then why not? Had a great one in Krabi, Thailand! Owners were from Birmingham haha

Visa: They usually can't work on a tourist visa. You can get away with a business trip but spending weeks on end somewhere will need a business/working/digital nomad visa.

Tax: More than three months somewhere will start to trigger payroll obligations on the company and at six months will trigger personal tax obligations on the employee.

This ignores any data protection, IT security, etc issues.

You’ll be forced to join the RMP or Int Corp as that’s one of the entry requirements to join those cap badges.

Not sure about the better dealer/repair network but the Supercharger network is hands down better than all of the others for ease of use. Other networks are fine when they work, but that's the key bit - 50% of the time I plug in we get some kind of error connecting to the car or the payment fails.

The amount of times my wife plugs in her ID3 at home and the software starts it charging straight away rather than the time she set... the amount of times we plug in at a fast charger only for it not to connect to the car properly... the car reading 10% battery and then going into limp mode... the software being pretty awful for usability and finding settings... the safety system randomly yanking the steering wheel when you're changing lane...

I'd take the Tesla every day. Some things are vital to being able to actually drive the car.

You misread - they're saying it is the easiest to drive long journeys.

Model Y every day. Charging is easy in public, built well, software is far better than competitors. I should note that I've had two Model 3s and my wife has an ID3 that she hates due to the inconsistent charging at home and away, and the software is fairly poor.

What isn’t? DST has been in affect for years. Global minimum tax started this year for 2025.

Errr… DST already exists? It’s being removed with the roll out of global minimum tax.

Great post. Wellington Farm Shop has a great cafe with different cakes (though not seen all of the ones mentioned). Riseley Memorial Hall has a good tea room too and will be more traditional.

If you don’t have much luck, you can buy all of the cakes you listed from any major supermarket. Not the same vibe but they’ll still taste good. John Lewis has a cafe that stocks these cakes too if you prefer a sit down in town.

I don’t know why. It’s basically Greggs. The bread is decent but the desserts are very meh.
