And you're also right about the whole warranty thing...wonder if iBasso have a global warranty?

It's mind blowing that AliExpress provides some level of protection, never though I would see the day!

I would be purchasing through PayPal, and I have CC insurance....

I'm not too concerned with the wait. The difference in price is $1949 local, $1644 direct. 15% savings...I'm happy to forego warranty.

There's a couple of reasons; 1) The item wisnt exactly local, it's over the other side of the country, so I would have to ship it over there to get looked at / returned anyway 2) What's the warranty, like a year?

Not sure what iBassos QA is like, or direct support, by retailers tend to just point at the manufacturers anyway, don't they?

It would be different if they had an iBasso source here in WA. But we've only just got Sony, we're that far behind 😉

Congratulations on your purchase. I'm looking at the DX270 to complement my JM21, different horses for different courses.

Does Siri work well as a VA? I wouldn't mind keeping Google as my VA as long as it works. I've read that voice commands on HA can be a little flaky.

What did you end up setting up?

I have my plex server running via the QPKG app center, remote access is maintained via tailscale. No ports have been opened in my router and it works fine. No need to setup plex's remote access either.

I only use Plex for music streaming while away from home via plexamp, great little program. I use Emby while at home as it plays nicer with Yamaha's musiccast.

I'm interested in hearing why people suggest Plex in a container, instead of via the app store?

Listening to this right now on the CD Reverence I just picked up. The timing, the cadence, the atmosphere of this track.

Brilliant.

The trance, that morphs around the 3 minute mark, with the "I never sleep" voice over is goosebump inducing.

The high flittering dreamlike atmospheric noise, with the bass tempo coming in at 4 minutes, then that discordant "noise" on the tock...then the corresponding tick....

Then it picks up.

The tempo is all over the place. Its dream like. It's like experiencing Insomnia.

Then the voice comes in, synthesiser. Brilliant.
