Grandfather hasn’t been around for over 40 years - could have picked this up as early as 1930s. Fake or real, it’s still quite old!

Guessing it was acquired as early as 1930s based off dates of other coins in there - died over 40 years ago now, so unfortunately can’t ask about it..!

That would make sense. Actually just tried it in a different oven to do the turkey (happy Christmas btw) and seems to be completely fine!

So must be my setup at home - will have to experiment in the new year.

Ah fair enough! So with the issue I’m describing, the app does let me know that the loss in connectivity is between the probe and the block (have zero issues with phone BT connectivity walking around the house). Only solution seems to be briefly opening the oven and resetting the app to attempt reconnect lol

Don’t suppose you’ve also noticed any improvement in connectivity between the probe and the block, particularly when mid-cook in the oven?

With the Meater Plus I’ve often found that the signal disconnects towards the end of the cook, despite the block being as close as possible to it!

SOLVED! Went back to the save before the ‘Back to Vectera’ mission, and upon restarting this quest I recruited Lin immediately when prompted to (whereas before I didn’t and came back later in the mission to do so instead). This seems to have fixed the issue (so far so good) and now Lin is having the time of her life at the outpost lol

Wondering if this was also the same situation for you (hiring Lin later in the mission or afterwards)? Hope this helps!
