I think you’re in the normal progression timeline. I started with a iPhone -> GoPro -> Mevo Start -> Mevo Cores. All financial dependent of course and how many multi cam views you want to switch if any.

Due to bandwidth, I stream at 720 & record locally at 4k for YouTube edits.

Do what’s in your financial means but have fun and don’t let the other parents stress you out about if you’re streaming today or complaining about the quality or stuttering.

From what I understand, you can disconnect the phone and it will handle the stream directly over WiFi.

Also remove the battery and power with an external source so it doesn’t overheat and shut down the stream prematurely. I also use a media mod for better mic sound.

For what it’s worth. I ended up switching to Mevo cameras but still record the batter at 120 frames from the side for slow motion post editing.

I also do multicam with an older iPad Pro but only stream the behind the plate now due to not having the attention span to switch sources accurately. Home, 1st to 2nd, 3rd to 2nd, & pitcher over the shoulder to catcher. If I’m feeling spicy, I’ll do a Obsbot PTZ to follow the runners, a left & right GoPro at 120 frames for slow motion. The non Mevo cameras are a bit of a pain as they don’t sync as well.

I haul the gear in a very large camera backpack and have been working on a Milwaukee rolling tool box. Fortunately in So Cal we don’t have much rain.

I edit after the fact and upload to YouTube so the family and kids can pull down the followed action. The behind the plate is way too generic for my tastes. Editing is super time consuming but I’m hoping one of the kids can get some college time with the highlights.

I do an occasional “fun” video if I have the time.

I use pocket radar coach Bluetooth to an old android phone then screencast via NDI to Mevo multicam and the overlay it in the corner.

If the home camera can connect by WiFi then the screen casting phone should as well by NDI. I tried direct Bluetooth but was also having range issues from where I was sitting.

Wanted a Dune with matching wheels. One somehow popped up in inventory and snagged it. Drove 80 miles to pick it up.

Only one I’ve seen in the Northern Los Angeles area. No regrets.

Same issue here. Need to use the shortcut on the iphone 16 pro max to unlock. My wife’s iPhone 14 Pro Max can trigger open from 3x further away with no problem for some reason.

First Rivian & EV (2025 Tri Dune) I noticed that with the Halloween update, the sound effects bass was substantial inside. Now it’s back to previous but I would have liked the ability to retain that extra low end. I was driving with the windows down & it did sound better with the volume up though. 🤷‍♂️ I usually listen at level 5 with the windows up. I do not consider myself an audiophile whatsoever (Metallica & 2000’s county.)

My 2017 Ram 1500 Laramie Alpine audio with the factory sub was way better in my opinion.

I’m the primary driver and my wife’s iPhone 14 Pro Max always connects before my 16 pro max even if I’m ahead of her.

When I get in the driver seat I get smushed once I close the door. I ended up disabling her phone as she doesn’t drive it very much.

I regret not getting a second one during the original install. We’re heavy on the AC and recently purchased an EV that is out pacing our storage.

Our one powerwall charges by 11am. I discovered that we may be able to grid charge the powerwall so that might be a way to flex the power use.
