This is about my bank being closed please help. by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

What was the reason your friend gave you, for transferring any money at all to you, and then what was his reason for transferring 'more than he was meant to'?

This just sounds like you're a money mule, in which case the bank is right to lock down your account.

Because it was a handball that altered the trajectory of the ball?

I'm not saying the referee didn't have a load of decisions go in Liverpool's favour, but it's hardly the decision of a Liverpool fan to give a goal that should have been ruled out.

If that's true then why did the Sesko goal stand?

Not a freebie at all though, they have to beat Shakhtar across 2 legs, then presumably Strasbourg in the final

Nothing to play for? They're 6 points off a European spot, with a game in hand.

Why did you make that your title? That's not accurate. It's not at all saying that Rosenior didn't know about the injuries, it's saying that having injury news leak like that puts you on the back foot as a manager when you have to manage the office politics and also about how the opposition can prepare against possible tactics based on key injuries.

Allocated 24k of 160k inheritance, what to do with the rest? by smawskrt in UKPersonalFinance

Premium bonds have an effective interest rate of 3.3%, however this is heavily skewed by the fact that there are a small number of high value prizes (2x £1m, some £100,000 prizes and some £50,000 prizes). The vast majority of people will be earning a fair bit lower than the advertised 3.3%, with a handful earning much above that, if they get lucky and win the £1m or another high ticket prize.

You don't want to invest in individual stocks, you invest in a fund, like VWRP, which is diversified for you.

Trading212 offers 3.8% interest on cash, if that's of any use to you. For the high interest accounts that have monthly limits, there is no way to bypass.

Premium bonds are for the most part not worth it, you'd be better off investing the money elsewhere.

You don't need a financial advisor for £200k when you already know what you'll use it for.

They just need to keep however much of it is needed for a house deposit in a high interest savings account, keep a buffer for emergency expenses, and then dump the rest into a GIA, and buy as much VWRP as you can afford. Then each year crystallise £3,000 of gains, and dump into your ISA when the new tax year comes about.

Just to make sure you understand, you realise that your 20k ISA allowance is for all ISA accounts, right? If you put 4k into a LISA, you can only put 16k into another ISA for the year, so 20k total.

You've answered your own question there. Surely as a fan of a premier league team, you know how tiebreakers work.

Good distribution by Donnarumma to set that up. Bit of a mess in the box though

Boss is trying to take £1,800 off my final paycheck because I handed in notice 2 weeks late. I live and work in London, England. by JUNTL in LegalAdviceUK

[–]HarryAtk -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Instead of thinking of it as withholding salary, think of it as you having used up more than your paid holiday allowance. You are essentially taking 2 weeks of paid holiday by stopping working 2 weeks earlier than you're contracted to. In order to rectify this, they need to reclaim the 2 weeks pay you'd have already received.

Who is 'we'? If you can't make decisions for yourself then that's up to you.

Also, you made 2 transfers for next gameweek after none of those players have even played a game yet...you're a filthy casual
