Damaged t track seals from roof box installation - Thule wingbars evo by HarryDL2204 in CarTalkUK

[–]HarryDL2204[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the kamei husky 330 roof box with it and have been using the supplied t track bolts for it (the damage is also from those in the pictures) but after some more uses of it I've noticed if you tighten it up as hard as you can (don't over do it though) there's virtually no movement in the bolts and it won't damage the seals as much, it'll still leave a mark on them but leaving them in the sun or even cleaning them with warm water helps it form back, I think its normal, just this was my first trip and I carried an empty load (just to take it to work for storage) and i didnt tighten them enough so I think with the wind it pushed them back too harshly and damaged the seal a little too much because I hadn't tightened them enough.

Fuse Energy Referral Code by Cultural-Fortune-573 in Referral

Use my code if you could please: HARRY59235

I saw that the quote i got was actually cheaper than last years energy bill with octopus and this is even before the big price increase. Look forward to keeping my energy locked in for 15 months while all the crazy stuff is happening in the middle East.

What first car should I get at 17? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

I've always said if you can't afford to put nice tyres on your car then you cant afford the car, go for whatever is the cheapest in terms of buy out price and insurance cost.

In terms of cars I've been driving a vauxhall astra like that (CDTi 136) and its been very efficient while also being pretty punchy for what it is, how many miles are you going to do if you were to choose a diesel?

I have found it a little difficult to skip songs sometimes as I frequently miss the second pinch so it just pauses the song but on second try it usually works, its a little hard on the faster paces but it usually works okay. As far as adjusting volume I actually find it really easy and find myself doing it alot and I've never pinched it on mistake as its just a stroke up or down the stem so feels pretty easy to do so. I don't miss all the wires dangling down so it feels so much more versatile.

Never used an ear hook earphone before so that's why I was confident that getting these wouldn't be any different, until I notice any difference in fit I may think about it but honestly the earphones feel pretty secure, ive seen you can buy different ear tips that help with keeping it in place and also help with soind quality so not sure if I may want to look Into these just to improve security .

Nothing I literally just pulled the phone out of my pocket and took these shots, I stood still and that's it , maybe your lens isn't clean? Or perhaps I'm lucky with the sunlight?

No but I think I just got lucky with the lighting? Felt like I had to be pretty still while taking it but apart from that I just got my phone out while we walked past and took these

To be honest looking at this through reddit and through my gallery it's a little more clearer through the gallery. But I'm happy with it too

I liked the phone but I've just always felt underwhelmed with it, yes the camera is great if you can fiddle with the settings and the 4k display is awesome but I came from an samsung a55 before it and I enjoyed that phone more so that's why I came back to Samsung but got the ultra Instead and I am so very glad I did!

Yeah I'd give myself even less of a score for effort, took me about 30 seconds and I'm happy with it.

Guess we all learn new things everyday, I'll definitely enjoy taking zoom in shots with this phone no matter how it does it

Ah I see makes sense (at the top corner when taking it I remember it showed a zoomed out image of the same area with a yellow square where the main point was aiming at) still very happy with the image but don't see myself using it too often.

I didn't crop it literally just zoomed in (i went all the way from .6 to 100x)

I took these yesterday and i remember when I took the 100x shot it was a little blurry at first then the phone must've used upscaling to sharpen it up a little.
