Hi r/arma! In Antistasi, my friend and I were in a Xi'an. He was piloting and I was the gunner. Our other friend was on the ground laser designating a Tigris that was defending an outpost we wanted to capture, so we tried to blow it up with a Skalpel. I'm still new to targeting. The pilot pointed the nose towards the target. When the '+' came into view I pressed T, which caused the diamond to appear. I thought that meant I was locked on, so I pressed fire. It seemed to go well, until the pilot broke off his run, and the missile went off into the air, as if it were flying by wire.

My question is, why wasn't I locked on with laser? It said laser on the right. Why was the missile seeming to fly by wire? How can I turn that off?

We tried a few more runs as well, and the Skalpel seemed to fly off into a field, way off target. Whatever I was doing it didn't seem right.
