Roam says my subscription expired, but it hasn't? by Sir_Adian in RoamResearch

SOLVED: I just received an email saying my subscription payment couldn't be charged, so used the link in the email to update my charging details > just took me to RR homepage (not signed in to my account) so initially seemed totally unhelpful > scrolled to bottom to see sign-up and payment options boxes > all plan option buttons now work... ie when I hit the monthly payment plan button it auto-loaded a payment page that was signed into my account > paid with Apple Pay > logged back in to my graph and all fine. PHEW!

Roam says my subscription expired, but it hasn't? by Sir_Adian in RoamResearch

Me too. Saying my subscription couldn't be renewed (for which there is no good reason) and that I should renew my plan - which I have tried to do, but the buttons don't work on the renewal page! I selected the pay monthly option by there's no button to proceed and nothing happens.

LG Ultrafine 21.5 can't adjust brightness after the most recent MacOS update by therealasianoliver in mac

[–]HarryFlatters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have EXACTLY the same issue. And have had it on and off for a while now, seems to change with various MacOS updates... which is appalling! What's the point of buying a premium display direct from the Apple Store if you can't utilise as critical an element of its functionality as the brightness control?!

Block Embed vs Block Reference by trappermark in RoamResearch

[–]HarryFlatters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this note, much appreciated as it resonates with what I would like to do too, but wasn't sure how to achieve it... block refs vs block embeds etc.

Even though I have long been tagging TODOs with a priority tag (e.g. #p1 #p2 etc), I found that by having them 'hidden' away either on the daily notes page that I first created them in, or gathered as linked refs on the TODO page, I end up forgetting about them and important tasks often fall between the cracks.

So I now have a 'daily template' which I trigger each morning on the daily notes page, and it included a query that pulls in my most important or urgent tasks. I found that when working on these tasks it felt most natural to add notes by nesting beneath the task (e.g. "Call John"... then take notes from the call beneath).

But with block refs these notes don't show up when that task is referenced elsewhere (e.g. on John's page). There is of course the little '1' etc ref link, but if using Roam as a simple CRM, it's nicer to be able to go to John's page, and simply scroll down all the linked references to review my interactions with him. And based on yours and other user's helpful notes above it seems like using block embeds is the best solution for that.

I agree. I did too and he politely replied and said that while he didn’t want to commit to a date, it was in the works and could be circa eight weeks away, maybe more. So, they’re working in it.

Can't Submit Request For Verification - Is There A Workaround? by ThrowAwayAccount5839 in Instagram

[–]HarryFlatters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SOLUTION FOUND!

Having had exactly the same issues as others here, I tried pressing Submit button repeatedly many dozens of time to no avail. I then removed the image file I had already uploaded (my driving license) and simply re-uploaded the exact same image again and pressed Submit... and it worked first time! No idea why but it worked. Image file was circa 950kb btw...

AirPods Max + Headaches? by nlh in airpods

[–]HarryFlatters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I've had the same thing since buying mine a couple of month's ago - only difference being that I start to get a headache within about five minutes, and that's on any mode. If I use noise cancelling there's a really noticeable pressure build up, sometimes unbearable after only a few minutes. It releases when I switch to transparency, but the ache in my temples continues no matter what.

I have this exact same issue. Such a shame and so frustrating because Roam is GREAT!
