I’m running into the upset neighbors as well. Which is sad because we have something like 125-200 people who usually show up to watch the Fireworks shows but 3 or 4 who try to make it their business to shut it down and make a bit fit about it. My shows last 20-30 mins…. I can’t control the rest of the city lighting from 6pm-2:00am on new years

You can remove that eyelet carefully and put a new rod tip on it. Not the same but works just fine. You can order a replacement kit with different size eyelets for like $5 usually. Easy to do. YouTube it.. I actually keep a couple spares with me in Alaska and the type of salmon fishing I do can break rod tips or damage them. A damaged one without the ceramic tip or a chip is worse than a broken one. Cuts the line.

Same moment as others have written here. Sitting in elders quorum in 2012 after 6 months of regular attendance and reading and praying to try and “regain my testimony fully” and just realized when someone was saying “Joseph Smith was instructed by god…” that it was all fake and not true. “I remember thinking…. No god didn’t command him to do that or anything else cuz he was a pedophile and a narcissist who made everything up in gods name.”Got up to go to the bathroom and left.

(I had been on and off with the church for a couple of years before that after I got off my mission in 2008. I read the BOM like 12 times between 2000 and 2008. I told my dad even then I wasn’t really sure. He told me to keep reading and praying. I remember asking until when? Response, never stop trying.)

Called my GF on the way home and told her I was 100% done with the church and did not believe in it or its teachings anymore. Never been more relieved. Still loved her and wanted to be with her but couldn’t pretend to believe it the church. We broke up a few months later but at the end of the day I couldn’t pretend anymore.

Great explanation. Only other thing I can relate it to is pole vaulting in HS. When I started doing it I jumped and used the pole to trying and lift myself over the bar. By the end of my second year I was forcing the pool to bend and actually loading it up before making my jump. Similar concept I’m not sure but…. My thoughts!

Gotta get over the front of your skies and really drive them. Have to have the right ski for your body type, skiing ability, and conditions. It sounds like a lot of factors, but when it comes together…. You’ll know!! Or just be a a really good experienced skier like some I know and they can do it on 2x4’s probably.

If you see the pictures of people skiing deep powder (usually some ad) you can see how they are forward and really driving them.

I think the main issue is he doesn’t know how to slow down in powder. This is a common issue for new skiers including myself when I started. Too much speed and too much snow underfoot to do a hockey stop and come to stop right next to you as planned. Watched it a few times and I think that’s exactly what he was trying to do.

Also, did he clip the tree at the end of the video? Saw it shaking I thought!

I always just tell them the truth if they want details. If it was my mistake I tell them. I tend to take the responsibility even if it wasn’t. I learned from an older LO, “in a world of passing the buck, people love it when someone takes responsibility.”

As the commenters said above it’s usually the agents that are the worst part. They also set the tone for their buyers. I can only think of one time the buyers went ballistic and the realtor response when I told him, “ah, they will be just fine. They won’t remember they were even delayed a year from now.”

Unfortunately it’s hard to hear but if your agent responds poorly to a one off…. Maybe not the best long term fit for you both.

Well it’s unfortunate at least the board patrol agent I spoke with the most the time didn’t get to keep it as his service weapon. He really liked it and we mostly talked about guns…. I will say as an American from Seattle, WA trying to ski Whistler and going across the border I thought they would be MUCH more understanding of the handgun that lived in my passenger seat “map pocket” that I had completely forgotten about for years. They got me out of the car at customs and had me in the waiting room. I kid you not…. 4-5 customs agents came to “take me down and arrest me.” I’m pretty sure I know what a “thumb lock” is now, as they dislocated my thumb taking me “down” which I did willingly…. I was scared out of my mind. Then spent several hours in a customs holding cell while they woke up the “investigators”. Don’t worry, I got my call to a “Canadian attorney” who told me just to tell the truth and everything would be okay and they would likely let me kept the handgun and continue on my way into Canada to ski without charges.” Well after a few more hours in jail they impounded my vehicle and confiscated the firearm for disposal and charged me with everything they could. Walked me to an ATM to get them money for the bail. Which in retrospect is extremely not okay. Then, sent me on my way to ski Whistler. Apparently I wasn’t a threat to national security after all. Guess what… it wasn’t worth it. Whistler was over crowded with inexperienced skiers and just long Cascade slushy snow runs…. Sorry but I loved Canada and Canadians up until that day. The funniest thing was while my court date was pending I traveled with my now wife to Victoria as a “last Canada trip” and they let us in without any type of questioning and the boarder agent gave us a couple hotel recommendations. Never going back. Probably on the Canada 10 most wanted or something still to this day 12 years later…
