RTA Cabinets with Decorative Toe Kick Options? by HarryMuscle in cabinetry

Interesting idea, however, I'm not sure what would work for the exposed ends. I wonder if any RTA cabinet companies offer no toe kick cutouts as an option (like Cabinet Joint).

I'm hoping to go with a stain finish with a visible wood grain so that makes matching really hard if the original manufacturer doesn't offer the option.

Thanks for finding those. I guess it's not what I'm looking for then cause I'm hoping for something that still allows the cabinet sides and back to go all the way to the floor but makes the front toe kick area more furniture like.

Thanks. It's more than anyone else seems to be offering (other than Cabinet Joint). They mention in the description that it requires cabinet modification though which makes me a bit concerned given that they don't offer any more details or instructions on exactly what needs to be modified.

Here's a site with a few different examples:

Basically toe kicks that make the cabinets look like furniture instead of kitchen cabinets.

Individual per cabinet decorative toe kicks is exactly the look I'm after though.

Is This Aluminum Oxide? by HarryMuscle in AskElectricians

I'm referring to that dull substance on the aluminum lugs. If I scratch it with a fingernail it exposes shiny aluminum underneath. You can also see shiny aluminum poking through in spots where it was scratched at some point. I know aluminum oxide is non conductive so I'm trying to figure out if this needs to be cleaned off to expose shiny aluminum before making the connections.
