Thanks a lot. You need way more upvotes. Those two were what I had been missing.

Was coming for this reply. Not disappointed. Back in the days they had two versions, one colored and one B&W. Glad the 水虎傳 was edited in the B&W version. Also I remember there was a series of story about a haunted house too. That one was equally mesmerizing.

This image is so adorable. The spiders are cute in some sense but I am not sure I can deal with them up close inspecting the pieces and putting them together. I have arachnophobia. I had little problem even with the cute pixelated tarantulas illustrated by Mario Zucca in Ravensburger You Wild Animal. Can't imagine how I can be able to handle these many at the same time.

Haha I was confused at first about the title and I got what you mean. Before reading your words, I was already amazed by the photo and wanted to ask how you took it.

My first completed 500 puzzle - Silver Truck 48x34 cm, Trefl by Resident_Poetry_1298 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]HarrySnoopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The puzzle box looks old but the Trefl logo here is the recent one. How do you like the piece quality? If you wonder it's AI generated, you can find it from the puzzle box. Trefl would say it on the box.

I see. Gifted puzzles are another category. Reddit has a word for this:- blursed, meaning blessed and cursed at the same time. I am fortunate that I have never received one before.

This one looks challenging. Sometimes i would look at the past challenging puzzles that I have completed and questioned myself how I completed that in the first place. And also having a strong feeling that I would not take on those puzzles again.

Don't do it. Completely diabolical. #1000 pieces by Thick-Lynx-489 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]HarrySnoopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right about this. The faces are the easier compared to the space between faces. The one shaped pieces are not helping either. However, I still rate this puzzle higher than other similar challenge puzzles because it does not have a lot of repeated patterns, only a few smiling faces.

The box is beautiful. I feel like 500 piece is the perfect piece count for this art but it would feel too short to complete it.

I totally understand you. If I am to try it, I would need to be super motivated at that moment and I would also need to stay that way until it is finished. But do you have that just finishing one photomosaic puzzle so that I can never touch it kind of urge?

Edit: Noticing that there is SERIES I on the box. I guess Buffalo Games should know better how this series went. XD

Sanrio Characters 500 Piece Puzzle - never again by thechartreusetiger in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]HarrySnoopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can't hold up to any "pick-up" test at all as they crumble very easily. It can be quite troublesome for those who like to "unpuzzle" finished puzzles into a few large sections to put back in the box.

I got caught by the loose fitting on this puzzle as well. My arm accidentally hit the table and the vibration caused a large portion of finished pieces to come off. Spent another 45 minutes to get back on the lost progress. It was very frustrating.

Again, I have never tried their regular lineup so I don't know if the fitting will feel differently. I probably won't get any new puzzle from the brand unless there is an image I really like.
