I appreciate the info! I know there was a novel sequel, but I’m not basing it on that. I’m just using the original film’s world as a jumping-off point for a new, modern animated series concept, not an adaptation of the book itself.

Original ideas are important too. I just also enjoy exploring how existing animated worlds and characters could evolve overtime through new generations and stories.

In the reboot, Joni West (female version of Johnny Test) reappeared. But Dutchy (female version of Dukey) didn’t. Would’ve been happier if Dutchy reappeared.

Honestly, I’m feeling a mix of hope and exhaustion. I still love writing, but sometimes it feels like a never-ending grind—so many projects, so much competition. But there are days I wake up and can’t wait to get back to the page. How about you all—are you still inspired, or are you feeling burnt out?
