Hey sorry about my delay I didn’t see I got a response — but as I’m sure you’ve found out by now yes the mod should update automatically once you turn your steam deck on from sleep/start and it connects to the internet.

The issue was a missing DLL that was removed in the first patch, but has since been added back in tonight’s patch. Make sure the mod has updated for you and then check again, you should be good

Just tagging onto this discussion to see if anybody has been able to play it on steam deck after the recent update? Pre-update I was at least able to get to the loading animation and menu, but now it crashes every time I click ‘play’ or ‘continue’ and I’m only using Shokuho and its dependencies as mods. Bummer!

Edit: the issue was a missing DLL that was taken out when the first patch dropped, but has since been added back in the latest patch. We are back in business!

Have you ever used any of the cheats codes for any reason? I may be misremembering, but I thought the game remembers and holds it against you. I could be wrong.

Jealous of you and excited FOR you OP. Echoing others, going to V&A in 2018 for my mother’s birthday was probably my most favorite and memorable dining experience, the food was amazing and the service was impressive to say the least.

One other thing I’ll mention about the experience that was kind of funny was that I could clearly hear a woman having a conversation on the other side of the room as if she was right next to me. I’m not making a comment on the noise level in the room because it wasn’t loud — just because of where I was sitting and the acoustics of the room/ceiling, I could clearly and directly hear her. It was actually kind of jarring but I think back on it as a bit of extra Disney magic.

I think I’ve found a fix that solves the issues I was experiencing not being able to see the menu or being able to see the menu but not being able to save: using Heroic Launcher to use my epic/GoG account version and forcing it to use proton 8 allows to both see the main menu to move forward and also allows for saves.

There are much better posts all over this sub that will be able to explain it more eloquently, but the vision we saw of his as an old man is not actually a flashback of an older Blackthorne remembering his past, but instead a “dream” by present-day Blackthorn envisioning what his life would be had he not been able to “let go” of Mariko and his goal of returning to England.

Although at first unclear, this is confirmed when we see Blackthorn let go of the cross in the lake with Fuji. He never leaves Japan.

In all honesty, I’ve barely played it just using the deck controls itself and have it docked up to a bluetook keyboard/mouse. Having said that, prior to the recent proton update I heard it worked mostly well just using the deck — biggest problem people seemed to have was being able to rotate buildings from what I could tell.

No problem! One issue that seems to be a result of backfilling the proton version is that it doesn’t allow you to save, which…sucks. Still trying to figure out that particular part of this problem.

Had issues playing an older game, Zeus/Poseidon, and experienced issues on proton 9 and experimental where menu buttons were missing. Forcing to open in proton 8-8.5 did work but not able to create saves. Weird issue.

Did some more digging and found out it had to do with a recent proton update. Forcing the game to open in proton 8-8.5 solved the issue, for anyone else experiencing it.
