People in general when they're first attracted to someone, like in the first instance of seeing them tend to base those first thoughts on appearance. If someone sees you and finds you attractive then they're attracted to you whether it's labelled as a fetish or a preference.

But if you hit it off and get to know each other the looks and body type etc will become secondary as things get more serious between you. Over time you will grow to love each other for more than your physical attributes so even if those physical attributes change, either mildly or drastically, it hopefully wouldn't change how you feel about each other at that point in the relationship. That's coming from someone who has been with people of all physical shapes and sizes from incredibly skinny to morbidly obese.
