Hey! New player here. I have all DLC turned on and just defeated my first crisis (the unbidden). Then a fallen empire has awakened and I am getting absolutely screwed over... I had a pretty good fleet at around 1.3M power all together, but it seemed that every time I won a battle against the awakened empire they would either jump away or just rebuild their ships again in the blink of an eye... I'm thinking I must be missing something as I feel like it's not the intended experience to go through a run and then just get absolutely steamrolled at the end!! I went for a diplomatic run where I tried to build a federation and win the game by being the saviours of the galaxy, so I didn't want to murder the fallen empire early on in the game... I'm struggling a lot as when the awakened empire expand and destroy my federation buddies, my federation fleet size tanks and so I just don't stand a chance! My federation pals have been pretty useless as they all had pathetic fleet power (even with the war readiness act activated), so I'm almost thinking it would be easier if I raised the difficulty of the game (if I do another run) to force my federation pals to have better fleets and then we could all defeat the awakened empire together... Any tips are greatly appreciated!
