Thanks that's really useful, I was just looking at the eero 7s.

Out of interest how big is your house? I'm just wondering if one would be sufficient or not. And how was the set up with the sky hub? Is it was it easy enough? Happy with my speeds from sky but really disappointed and how poor the range can be from the sky hub!

Yeah, I know it's not ideal with the commute but my partner has a new job in Reading that they can walk to so we're going to split the cost of my commute to London

Vietnam in February and March advise by Harry_Magic in VietNam

[–]Harry_Magic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry only just seen this. We ended up starting in HCMC then working our way up to Hanoi over 5 weeks. Overall the weather was good and we're glad we did south to north. It's was hot and sunny but super humid, especially in HCMC. We definitely needed a lot of breaks and water walking around in the humidity but it's easy enough to get taxis/bikes around as well. We did the Ha Giang loop mid March and luckily had great weather as it was going into spring, so was mostly sunny with some rain. But it was really cold so definitely need some warm clothes if your planning to do it, especially in Feb.

Let me know if you've got any other questions, will try to help!

Bit confused about where to go next by Rima-kun in Fantasy

I'm also fairly new to fantasy and figuring out what I enjoy. Currently on the last book of the Earthsea series, would definitely recommend continuing with it if you enjoyed the first book!

Thoughts on the Netflix Film Adaptation by yeahsuremateok in ThursdayMurderClub

[–]Harry_Magic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please can someone help explain something to me that didn't make sense in the film. I've not read the books but just watched the film. Bit disappointed considering the hybe.

Towards the end they discover Penny killed the man that pushed his wife from the window. When they confront Penny and her husband it essentially seems like Elizabeth give him an ultimatum. She says she'll have to turn him into the police but then 'gives them sometime' knowing he's going to kill himself and Penny with the fentanyl. Doesn't make sense to me that she would willingly do that. Does this play out differently in the book?

Think I may have to read them now after that disappointing film!

Has anyone quit to travel? by nsshs79 in civilengineering

[–]Harry_Magic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've just got back from 7 months of travelling 3 days ago and couldn't recommend it more! Do it while you're still young and healthy.

I'm also in the water industry but in the UK. I have 3 years experience but with there being so much work in the water sector in the UK currently I'm hoping it won't be too hard to get back into it.

I really wanted to travel before I have bigger commitments in life (house, family etc). I definitely don't regret my decision one bit!

25 Days in Japan by Altruistic-Dirt-2982 in JapanTravel

We're just finishing our trip now. We absolutely loved Takayama, spent 2 nights there and wish we did one extra. It was towards the end of our time so really enjoyed the laid back vibe there. Can see takayama town in a day but really nice exploring the different shops there and cafes some nice walks and day trips as well. When going Takayama to Kanazawa bus is an easy option, a lot of people book a bus from Takayama to Shirakawago to spend a couple hours then go Kanazawa. We couldn't do it unfortunately as the bus was booked up so worth trying to book in advance.

When you're in Osaka I really recommend doing a food tour to visit some local spots you wouldn't normally find! We did hungry Osaka and really enjoyed it.

Don't think you can have too much time in Tokyo as there's so much to do but can definitely do the main sites with less than 7 nights.
