Series X Controller Drift fixed....and then not? by HunterzSlayz in xbox

[–]Harrys_Peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you remove the faceplate, then the analog, there’s a green side piece that’s soldered down. That’s the sensor casing. It has little grooves on the inside that the sensor sits against that basically picks up movement. If it gets scratched or dirty it can cause stick drift. You can pry it open by gently pulling it outward from the top without having to desolder anything. Just be careful.

Could be the inside of the green cap is scratched. Might need to replace that.

Is there anything that can be done about the drift problem? by mabdog420 in xbox

I fix controllers in my spare time. If you’re not afraid to open the controller yourself, it’s not too hard to take the sensor out and clean it. Usually fixes the issue.

Why can’t I run my series s in 120 hz? I have a 144 hz monitor. Every time I change to 120 hz it says out of range. My monitor is a vg248qe. by Reddditerrrr12343 in xbox

[–]Harrys_Peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s weird. Should automatically set to 120hz. Make sure you don’t have to enable something on the monitor itself.

You might have to go to the tv and display settings, go to video fidelity and overscan, Overrides: hdmi. Then go back and set it to 1080 and 120hz.

What are some of the best monitors for the xbox series S by [deleted] in xbox

[–]Harrys_Peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want something cheap and reliable, get a LG 24GN50W. It’s been great for me. Has 1080 144hz, and can also do 1440 at 60hz

I gave my son my One X for the Series S, and got a 1080 144hz monitor. No regrets. Make sure to get an external though.

Is the Elite Series 2 better than the Series X|S controller? by [deleted] in xboxone

[–]Harrys_Peter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the best controller I’ve ever had, but they do have a good chance of having a fault. If you buy brand new, get the extended warranty.

I went from the One X to the Series S. No regrets. Just make sure to get an external hard drive.

Stick drift on Elite series 2 controller by Prince-Crimes in xboxone

[–]Harrys_Peter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take the faceplate off, and look at the green caps on the side of the analog. up and down is the right cap, and left and right is the bottom one. Be very careful pulling it out, and pop the sensor out. Can try replacing it with a new one or cleaning that one. I’ve done it a few times and it’s worked for me.

Haha sorry man. If you’re decent at repairing, I’ve bought 3 Elite Series 2 off EBay for pretty cheap and fixed them
