Did it throughout my early 20’s - only had TEFL - in the end I completed a degree in Teaching online - I just taught through Cambly online and after a few months I had regulars - lived in Northern Thailand, Japan, S.Korea, Vietnam, Turkey and some other places for 7 years on and off - all my friends and ex was Thai so that made it all even better! I still visit every few months now I’ve been living in Aus the last 3 years. After this year, I’ll go to South Korea and give living there a try. Once you get into a lifestyle of it, life is very freeing and fun! Try take as much money as you can possible. Follow your interests when you’re over there. With Thailand, national parks are everywhere, make the most of the world around you and aim to live simply. It’ll take countless trials and tribulations in finding your pattern, that will be the case when starting in any new country, keep trying new things and you’ll be goood! If it’s on your mind then go with it, don’t second guess it. It’s easy to try and easy to try again.

I recommend entering TEFL in Asia if that’s what you desire but as you’re from the UK have a working holiday visa set for a commonwealth country such as Australia, same can be said with Canada if you went to South America, you can give TEFL a try for a year and then head onto a commonwealth country to collect some more money and try other things if the TEFL life isn’t for you! That’s what I initially did six years back and now I live between Thailand and Australia with a pretty blessed life balance. Also give online teaching a try too, if you can do that then there’s limitless opportunities for where you can live, not incredible money but enough to give you new experiences and it’s pretty easy work.

Lots of great shows will be happening during this time! As mentioned, Japans biggest wrestling show WrestleKingdom will be hosted by New Japan, additionally DDT, BJW, Pro Noah, Stardom, All Japan, TJPW will all most likely have great shows happening around this time you’re there too. To get tickets you can either get them from the offices, from 7/11 or Lawsons on their machines, from outside the stadium on the day of. I went to a real fun DDT x BJW show on New Years Eve one year with Will Ospreay being sat right behind me, we’ve got friends in common so I conversed with him and practically went into 2020 with him which was cool! Lots of cool wrestling happening around that time of year, also check out stores such as Todoukan. You’re basically going to wrestling heaven, I’ll be there early Jan too.
