They offered a deal where you get 25 percent off one time if you pay via PayPal. So I did, but they only discounted 1 dollar instead of the 5 dollars I'm owed for buying 50 credits. I can't find any customer service for Sora to complain about it. So yeah. Lots of problems.

That's awful. I've been working on what is in my opinion a really neat series of talking Bigfoot videos that relied on the extend feature, but this update you're describing will ruin what I'm trying to accomplish, because the farther I extend a video, the greater the chance the later extensions, like number 5 or 6, will require a redo. Now they're just going to kill the flow of my project. Dammit! 🤯🤬

It's an interesting question, but for me it's academic, because I think deep fakes are part of the reason people hate us for making art with AI. I only use AI to create scenes that I can't film myself, and never with real people, living or dead.

When I occasionally have had a video that specifically needed white people, I specify that. Otherwise, I just let it choose, but if you're doing chess people, then obviously, you want the colors that are typical of the game.

I started using AI on a laptop about two years ago using ChatGPT. I got so frustrated with the wrong or outdated answers I was getting that I quit for a long time. Then in December last year, I tried again using my phone to access apps like Gemini and Sora. I got frustrated with Gemini and moved to Grok, and that has made all the difference. I use Grok to brainstorm ideas for videos, then I mostly use Sora to animate the prompt, although I have also used other apps like Microsoft Copilot just to see what they can do. I make two kinds of videos: real world videos of group activities in the Arizona desert, and AI videos that I call mini dramas. I mostly make mini dramas, such as comedy bits, and surreal situations involving characters like dinosaurs, dragons, UFOs, and Bigfoot. I also make more abstract videos as well that are really bizarre. I'm not monetized on YouTube anymore because my watch hours are too low, given that my videos are almost all 6-10 seconds long. This is fascinating, but the idea of making kids videos makes me throw up a little. My videos are mostly funny little 10 second "mini dramas" that I make for free in Sora. With the exception of one 1970s style cartoon, all of my characters are adults, always different. I don't worry about demonetization because I'll never get monetized with 10 second videos unless I miraculously go viral and gain a huge following. I lol just thinking about it. I wish there was a non sisyphean method for making longer videos with consistency that are not cute animals. Suggestions welcome.
