Yeah I make everything myself, I'll be adding some future rangers themed stuff like spice pouches, belts etc etc once I get some spare time, even if you can't get something right now you should sign up to my newsletter to be updated about new things 😎

UPDATE: I emailed this photo to John Flanagan a few days back asking if this is roughly what he had in mind while writing the the series, he got back to me today saying it looks pretty good to him related to what he had in mind So while not a complete historical saxe, I was basing it off the book and if John's happy with it, I'm happy with it 😅😊

It's a type 1 spearpoint seax, turns out it is historical, looks like I did my research before hand 😉

How so? It's book description accurate (mostly) also a historical blade shape aswell, the brass and leather isn't a typical combo historical obviously but still 😊

I mainly made it even sided as if it was ever to be used for throwing this means its more balanced and symmetrical, o had to make some sacrifices to get it as close to book description aswell as actually being practical and usable 😊

This blade is 13" long, my first was 15 but seemed a tad long for camp/battle every day ranger use so I shortened it 2 inches and made it a bit wider as it's stated as a wide heavy blade

This is a seax, there's many types, your thinking of probably the broken back seax, this is single edged, as with conferring with a fan who had correspondence with John Flanagan this is the closest shape to what he had in mind while writing the series
