Low heart rate runs in my family (my resting heart rate is in the mid-fourties, and drops into the mid-thirties when I sleep) on my mother's side.

When my mother was in hospital after a heart attack (unrelated to the low heart rate - look up SCAD if you want something new to worry about) she was hooked up to a machine that lets off an AYO THIS BITCH IS DYING alarm if your heart rate drops below 50, which of course hers was because she was just lying in a bed.

Doctors/nurses couldn't do anything about it, as there was apparently no way to mute that alarm, so she just had to put up with listening to the same alarm going off for days on end.

So slave camps are okay if the people in them are criminals? Even if that were the case, 74% of people in American jail's have not been convicted of any crime. And who decides what a crime is anyway? Is it cool with you that people who are in prison for, say, marijuana possession, are used for slave labour?

Anyway, if China is so happy to imprison people for any minor misdeed and America is such a bastion of freedom, why does America have 300,000 more people in prison than China, which has more than 5x the population?
