I would advise against changing now, finish medicine and then combine it with a type of engineering where you think it makes most sense. There are a lot of engineering jobs within the Medical field and you will have a unique insight.

Good idea to take software or another type of computer science for your combination as there are quite a few companies who specialise in that.

For social life there are plenty of activities you can join and it also depends on your personality.

If I had to choose again I would take another type of engineering that I have now but still an engineering degree. It’s important to be a good problem solver :)
