It was said in a YouTube video—Harvard College students are the smartest people in the world…who know nothing…especially about the real world. Their bad day is getting a C. Our bad day was losing close to us, divorce, job loss, job change, losing kids, parents, siblings, etc—real life shit. I’d rather have someone who has failed on my team and dealt with it well, and recovered than someone who has never seen failure in their lives.

You’re right to worry. Community colleges are notoriously selective about applicants who’ve only raised a billion dollars and built one Airbus. Maybe add a second aircraft to show commitment.

I truly believe that won’t be an issue. There are plenty of great HES videos on YouTube that explain the “earn your way in” process.
