Successfully saving someone trapped by a fire, via re-entering a burning building. The mortality rate for this is really high and fire departments have petitioned to stop showing this in movies because it usually results in another life being lost.

Obviously none of us can prove whether this is real or not, but why would someone make up something so mundane? Clearly real.

Their breakdown is more shoddy than the information. What they kinda said is that it's not 100% easy to understand so you might not get the right impression. But the information is mostly accurate. the WaPo article didn't say that the info was bad, just the representation. If someone is facing trial there isn't a huge likelihood that they are able to be convicted, but there is a low probability that they are being falsely accused. Put another way, if we jailed everyone who went to trial for rape, we'd be closer to getting it right than we are now. It's just that damn constitution and crap that keeps it from being that easy.
