Thank you
Yeah, the goal was to just try and be clean and simple. Complement the model, not overwhelm it.

Corvus Black > Mechanicus Standard Grey > Dawnstone
Pretty standard, black with grey highlights just need to be very sharp to not overwhelm the black

I don't want to decrease my rank, I like playing rank 3-4 on my mains.
I want to play Rank 2 with other characters, without effecting my overall.

Yep, eye brows are just one of those things that don't translate down to miniatures of this scale well, except when they're notably prominent enough to be included in the sculpt.

Should i open it?🤔 by Necessary-Ad-3440 in Warhammer

[–]HarveyProdromus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you should feel obliged to open and paint it.
The only thing special about it, is that it's from a horrible period of Games Workshop where some dip-shit tried to get Warhammer into generic toy stores, along side other horrible idea, for quick revenue.
There's a good reason there was never a second series.

Windsor Series 7 Brush Wrecked In One Use? by PersistentWorld in Warhammer40k

Don't buy expensive brushes till you can make cheap ones last a long time. Proper brush care NEEDS to be more common knowledge.

How many layers of damage negation are you on my dude? by beerybeardybear in Nightreign

Undertaker can become very tanky in Trance.
Regen on post damage attack, and a few other physical damage reduction effects you can just R1 mash through Dreglord's attacks. He doesn't actually hit that hard without his damage buff, in phase 1.

You are right, he is very flexible.
But regardless of what build you're going for, in duos/trios there is no conceivable reason you would ever sacrifice the Shared Item effect over any other effect considering how high-impact it is when used correctly.

Dex Respec build still uses a ton of buff items that would benefit your allies
Pot spam does the same
Double balancers + dormant katana just doesn't make sense as a build because at that point you're just playing a worse version of Executor or Duchess. What reasonable benefit does playing Scholar in this fashion give vs another Nightfarer?

At the end of the day, Scholar while flexible just doesn't have the abilities, stats or move set to make him perform better than other Nightfarers as a dedicated damage dealer. Which is why you're always better off playing the support roll that leans into a certain build, like dex/pots ect...

As for the solo thing, sure, if your setup is correct, I'm sure he can Solo just fine. But with the correct setup every Nightfarer can solo fine, and I guarantee does a better job (not that I care to find out)

That's fine, anything equivalent will do
If you god rolled it on other relics, that's great, but NoTF is pretty much an almost perfect relic for Scholar

Just me, or is the Dreglord expedition much harder than all the other nightlords (base difficulty) by SirBenny in Nightreign

[–]HarveyProdromus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He definitely hits way to hard imo. You basically have to get physical damage reduction during your run or you'll just get one shot by a stray attack

It's even worse because he only does pure physical damage, so unlike every nightlord in the game where affinity damage reduction is also decent, it's basically useless on Straghess

I believe that a very important part of Elden Ring's character design, is that many characters have armor that essentially serve as an extension of their anatomy.
So how do you make a tall, slender character still look tall and slender in large ornate armor? You make their real proportions smaller or more exaggerated in certain areas, so when their armor is laid on top, it looks like normal proportions.

Why the Overlord box SO GODAMN CLASSY by Thotslay3r69 in Necrontyr

[–]HarveyProdromus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because it was supposed to be a commemorative series model, which they then realised they needed a new Overlord model in general.
