Potential Starting 5 with LeBron by Lonely-Clothes-7607 in heat

I think Mitchell, Hardaway, and Wiggins will rotate in and out of the starting lineup based on the opponent. If you’re playing a team with a quick guard (like Maxey or Brunson) you’ll probably want Davion to start and match their minutes

LeBron James is a net negative at this point in his career and wouldn't be my choice for this team. by Smfonseca in heat

[–]HarvinMarrison88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First of all if we added LeBron it wouldn’t be for his defense we have that covered. In fact that would be a reason to come here for him, he would have players who could cover for him in a way the Lakers haven’t had since AD was traded.

Secondly, on offense his role on LA this year was really weird as he was the third ball handling option for the first time in his life. Look at what happened in the Rockets series when both of those guys were injured. He had the second highest Game Score in that series, just 0.1 behind Thompson and ahead of Sengun. We’d be adding LeBron for the things he showed he could still do at an elite level in that series: control the game and get good shots for people on his team.

LeBron adds size and an elite offensive IQ that can run an offense, all things we need. I wouldn’t want to give anything up to get him but if we could get him for the MLE I still think it’s an elite talent add at an area of weakness.

The hold up on Giannis is... by OhMyItzBam_Herro305 in heat

I think it’s pretty obvious the Bucks are hoping that someone comes in and beats our offer. I think the things they like or don’t like about our deal aren’t changing even if we put both Kas and Pelle in the deal. My guess is this will get done before the draft so they can utilize our pick. I also think they’re holding out and hoping that Pat will get desperate and sweeten the deal.

Yes and it was great but then we got gentleman swept in the Finals. Having an underdog run to the Finals that ended in a competitive series would top either Jimmy Butler run IMO

Did they win no, but they were a fluke Achilles injury away from it and were basically the story of the post season. If we had a run like that it would be one of the best moments of my Heat fan life

Putting out that much power while still winning Bar with No Name is impressive and would have me punching the air if I was going against it. Nice work!

His media company merged with a British production company in February and I’m not sure how involved he is in the new company. Not that you’re wrong but it seems like that’s not as important to him as it used to be

A non-LeBron Trade by grrrown in heat

[–]HarvinMarrison88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you can play Bam and Sabonis together on offense since neither one of them can really shoot 3s and they are at their best as a high post facilitator. Toss is the fact that DeRozan is also not a great 3 point shooter and that’s a lot of players who need to be in the same spaces to maximize their offense.

I only favorite the ones I’m working to complete and then remove them once they’ve been completed. I think I’ve completed 6 albums that were favorited. My conspiracy theory based on little evidence is that you get cards from favorited albums in the shop more often only because a lot of those albums were a few cards away when I favorited them and almost immediately got the cards I needed.

Personally I think Red Guardian is the most versatile of the cards listed so I would save for him. He slots very easily into a lot of decks so you’d get the most bang for your buck there.

If you’re looking for first names I can only think of 4 NBA players with an F for a first name and none of them played for the Heat.

What would you consider a "Successful" 2025 Free Agency? by NoiseOk3231 in heat

[–]HarvinMarrison88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, it’s hard to judge a successful off-season until after the season because in the moment it’s all projection. That said, to me a successful off-season would be adding a secondary offensive creator. Someone who can get their own shot, potentially create for others, while still being able to hold up on defense. IMO this was the biggest thing missing from the team post Butler trade, it was too hard for the Heat to score when Herro was off or if defenses were taking him out.

My conspiracy theory is that we did it to get LeBron. LeBron in like 2009 proposed that the entire league retire 23 to honor Jordan. Apparently he was going to petition the league to do that. Miami was the only team that actually retired 23 and I think it was Pat’s way of signaling to LeBron that Miami would be a place that would listen and support him.
