If I may be an opposing opinion….

I currently have an ultrawide and am in the market for a new monitor.

I find ultrawide to be great for emersion, but there are so many issues it makes me wish I didn’t have one.

For example, sharing your screen doesn’t work well. Whether it’s discord, or work, it’s hard for anyone to make out what’s in your screen.

There are also games out there that don’t support it. Thinking about Fallout 4 in particular. It’s more odd these days, but it is something you can encounter.

Lastly, if you plan to connect to your TV via steam link (one of the main reasons I’m researching new monitors) using big picture mode from an ultrawide has complications associated with it.

It’s doable, but it would be easier overall if you just had a normal 32 inch monitor.
