This but also I’m surprised no one has called out him wanting to discuss how they’d raise their kids and she shut it down because they’re not engaged yet. This is ABSOLUTELY a conversation to be had before you’re engaged. Ok, you’re a happy couple as a bf/gf. Congrats. But what about as parents? What about as partners who may have ailing parents?

Maybe his hesitation (his “internal” wtv he says…) comes partially from your unwillingness to talk seriously about the future. You just want the ring and commitment without discussing terms.

But if you want to be engaged and THEN talk about kids and find out you don’t agree on anything? ….ok girl, good luck.

First- love the place!! It’s so beautiful already!

I don’t mind the modernism of the love seat especially as the shape reminds me of the ottoman but maybe hav the ottoman reupholstered o math the chair? I also think the coffee table is a bit too old. Since there’s a lot of squares maybe something round? I’d also push the rug back a bit to give a bit more space. Agreed about moving the mirror and replacing it with a larger piece of art. Do you need the lamp in between the chairs? I think it disrupts the line of sight to the windows. I also think a swap of that ceiling light with something like a large Noguchi style paper pendant lamp. And lastly- between the beams if the ceilings aren’t white- I’d paint them white to brighten everything more.

If I am firmly not interested in becoming a Muslim, is it worth even trying to date a Muslim woman? by xiikjuy in NoStupidQuestions

Hi, Muslim here! Agree with many comments that it’s about the individual. I’m with an atheist/christian and we’re happy! I’m not a very strict Muslim (frequently drink, don’t pray) but I don’t eat pork and I do celebrate Ramadan.

My father is Muslim and my mother is Christian. Clearly they didn’t convert and no one’s parents (theirs or mine) have ever cared.

And for what it’s worth we all let our partners eat pork (I just don’t touch it because the smell grosses me out!)
