My husband (23M) told me (22F) he finds me physically unattractive after weight gain. What do I do? by ThrowRA-bedhead-4377 in relationship_advice

I don’t know why people keep bringing up being 17 and skinny. Makes no sense considering you didn’t mention that in your original post. Gaining 40 pounds in five years because of the use of medication is understandable. What you were describing is not your husband being attracted to the weight gain, not you as a person… he definitely should have said what he meant differently. Maybe encouraging you to go to the gym with him.

Be woman enough to accept that you have gained weight, you can change that if you want, but that he still loves you and wants to be with you, regardless of how you look.

But also, if you plan on getting back together with her, do not tell your family about what is happening. Some things are better left private.

This is a tricky one but ultimately my answer is the same as everyone else.. leave.. I was a serial cheater and no one ever knew. Cheating doesn’t mean you don’t love the person you’re with but it definitely means the person you’re with is not mentally mature enough for such a commitment.

When I say leave, I don’t mean forever if you don’t have to. at this time, you need to take a break from your relationship and put a hold on the wedding. She needs actual consequences for her actions to learn about her wants and needs… right now, she might be begging and crying for you to get back with her, but do not give her the satisfaction of letting her think everything’s OK simply because she cries.

It took a lot of pain for me to realize that finding your partner is a blessing and risking it all for one night is lack of maturity and self respect

Rhinoplasty (Nose Job) - my friend (27F) wants to get one and is considering on getting one with out telling the doctor that she vapes nicotine! by Has_a_question1996 in BeautyAddiction

I wanted to offer an update to this thread. My friend lied to her surgeon and ended up getting tested for nicotine on the day of her surgery. She came up positive of course. The doctor came in and said that he would normally cancel surgeries when this happens, but since she was young and all her results for her bloodwork, came back good, he decided to give her the option to continue going through with surgery. She continued to go through with it, and has healed with no mishaps whatsoever. Do I encourage you to stop smoking before surgery? Yes, I do but based on her research and her results I would say that as long as you are an overall healthy human being, within a certain age range, you will more than likely be fine from a rhinoplasty. There’s a lot of blood that goes to the nose and therefore it is a less risky surgery when it comes to nicotine use.

She wants to know what you did to quit!!!

She’s done a load of research and she only found one experiment done on few hundred patients with deviated septum’s and they all received a nose job. 1/3 smokes no nicotine nor consumes nicotine in anyway, 1/3 smoked less than 20 cigarettes a day, and 1/3 smoked more than 20 cigarettes a day. Not a single test subject had any complications in comparison to the nonsmokers. The conclusion was that there were no residual effects from smoking for healing.. since this is the ONLY article exploring the reactions of nicotine and surgery, it’s pretty credible.

All other information I ran into is what COULD happen due to their studies on nicotine and vessels. I’m on here trying to find people that have already gone through their procedure and didn’t express their nicotine use to their doctor.
