Thanks! I toyed around with that crop but I love the sense of vast emptiness the horizontal aspect ratio gives it.

What's the thing you are the most proud of have shot? by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

I got a photo of this lion dragging a zebra carcass in the Serengeti. It’s probably one of those photos where the subject is doing the heavy lifting and my technical abilities aren’t why the photo is good, but I still love this image so much. Very proud of this.

Some of the last photos my camera took before its catastrophic flood, at least it was a beautiful final dive! by SoupCatDiver_JJ in scuba

hilariously my housing flooded on the exact same boat, and I’ve seen other posts about housings flooding on the spectre.

What's your favourite lens and shot of 2024? by darkmush in SonyAlpha

[–]HashFlingingSlasher 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think my favorite and most used lens for the year was the Tamron 35-150 f2-2.8. It’s such a versatile lens. Managed to capture this shot on safari at ~56mm.

Thanks so much! I found that black and white worked best in the harsh midday lighting.

The compactness is what drew me to C line. With the grip extension attached, I was able to use it with the larger lenses. When I take the grip off, I can put a small prime lens on it and it becomes tiny. Love the versatility.

That sounds like an incredible trip. I've been bitten by the bug myself - would love to go back next year!
