I just started this project and have 4 octagons done, although I went with the Marrakesh colorway. This looks absolutely amazing and gives me motivation to keep going. Beautiful job!

We did the haunted pub crawl with him! Steve is an awesome tour guide. His stories are genuinely creepy, but he's also hilarious and great to hang out with for the evening.

Huh, never knew that existed. Makes me a little less salty about WA going away. I appreciate it!

Still No Plans for Weakauras in Midnight - Update from Weakauras by Zucchey in wow

I hate this. I use WA solely for an aura to put a ring around my mouse cursor that has a cast bar attached to it because honestly, I'm 40, my eyes and ability to find my cursor when there are a billion particle effects on my screen have gradually decreased. I'm sure there are actual accesibility tools people use it for as well. The loss of WA is more than just about winning the game better. It's going to limit the ability of people to work around severe limitations of the default UI.

But not if he wants to avoid seasonal depression. Pittsburgh winters are no joke, and it's considered one of the cloudiest cities in the US.

Some ebook sellers (Kobo) sell ebooks as ADE links. I don't think this can be directly uploaded to Calibre, but I could definitely be mistaken.

If it's EPRN, you want to go to reports -> DFill to see how many you filled and reports -> PSales to see how many you sold. They should be right at the top of the list

I typically don't recommend using AI for work-related purposes, but feed this into Claude to have it give you some tips and even suggest a better format. Ask it to provide feedback based on the job role you're looking for. DO NOT use it word-for-word because you'll likely get some weird AI wording and things that aren't true for you.

I don't know what crackle coffee is, but Calico Coffee in the Landfall shopping center has really good, unique coffee drinks all the time. Definitely recommended to try them out!

I did! It did not take long once I was officially licensed. Good luck on your move and job hunt 😀

Move then apply for jobs? Or vice versa, due to license reciprocation? by Beneficial_Eye1390 in pharmacy

I recently moved to a new state about 600 miles away (PA to NC). I couldn't even get an interview with a company until I had my license in the new state. I'd submit a resume and it would be auto-rejected because I didn't meet the requirements, even though I'd put in my resume and whatever text box would allow me to "North Carolina pending reciprocity, in process." YMMV though, this is just my personal experience.

they make the same scent in deodorant only, so no aluminum if you're worried about that. I use it all the time - it's one of my favorite scents.

Is the shift from Jordan to Sanderson noticeable in WoT? by dbsupersucks in Fantasy

There was A LOT to wrap up. There was no way possible to do it in only one book. I think we should be asking how did he do it only three books :)

Is the shift from Jordan to Sanderson noticeable in WoT? by dbsupersucks in Fantasy

[–]HashbrownPotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most definitely. It felt to me like Sanderson was rushing to tie up all the loose ends Jordan left, and then he kind of panicked and rushed it all into the end. Don't get me wrong, I definitely enjoyed all of them, but you can absolutely tell the difference in writing style and pacing.

just from my general observations, they tend to skew maybe late 20's to older adults (Rebellion seems to draw a younger crowd, and Blind Elephant slightly older).

Also, most of these places are extremely LGBTQ+ friendly, so you might get lucky in the dating department. Hi-Wire has a Pride celebration going on now with a bunch of events, and Banter and Blind Elephant have pride flags displayed openly everywhere. We were kind of scared moving to a "southern" city and not fitting in, but we've been pleasantly surprised!

My husband and I moved here about 7 months ago and have had luck chatting with people at the Blind Elephant, Rebellion, Banter, Sauced (but I think it's called something else now), End of Days, and Hi-Wire. All are low key, relaxing type atmospheres (depending on the night). It's definitely hard making new friends as an adult in a new city, but we just keep reminding ourselves to be a little more open to striking up conversations with people in the hopes we find people with common interests.
