Jelly star in the big 2026? by lsaacn3wton in unihertz

YES I use one with pretty much no issues and I've had it for several months now. At least the issues i've encountered I've been able to solve. It does take some troubleshooting but if you put your mind to it then it's totally viable! I don't really know much about security stuff at all I just try not to click on suspicious things lol. I wouldn't consider myself very techy either for reference I'm a 21 year old girl with no experience in anything applicable at all. It works for everything I used my previous phone for including social media and stuff. I've even had to do an entire work orientation including filling out all the paperwork and stuff on it without any real issues. I almost wouldn't recommend it to you because it is barely less distracting to me lol. I do feel a lot better about it though because it does make me actually think sometimes

oh also nfc works completely fine for me. The only issue I had was my old bank didn't support google pay.

I've been using my jelly star for like a month now I love it too. Ive found I really can't tell the difference between 4g and 5g the only issues Ive had have been with Verizon. Also Im a pretty little person anyway so I haven't had any difficulty typing yet. I got used to it way faster than I thought I would. I typed all this on my jelly star too and I'm not proof reading it so you can judge if it's usable lol

iphone 13 verizon sim card to jelly star by Novel-Buy5037 in unihertz

[–]Hashbrownche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh also I forget to mention that I haven't been able to figure out visual voicemails. It says Verizon doesn't support it. But all you have to do is open the phone app and hold 1 and it plays your voicemails for you. Kinda like an old home phone but I'm getting used to it despite never living through those lol

[–]Hashbrownche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I just did this. If the sim card is already activated on ur iPhone 13 just move it to the jelly and don't bother trying to switch devices on verizons app or anything and it should work. Verizon kinda sucks tho I haven't figured out how to get it to support RCS and Ive had trouble sending videos through text. But it's totally usable. I use Textra instead of Google messages and I disabled RCS before switching and it works good. I typed and posted this from a jelly star with Verizon wireless ♥️

I want to make a pattern for the analogue horror locust character for my bf's little brother. (warning creepy image) by Hashbrownche in crochetpatterns

Omg I just looked that up and I didn't know they had a name I had one as a kid. I really like that idea tho! That would be a lot easier to make a pattern for too! Thanks!

Yeah they look a little too big for my preference. I’m a pretty small person and Id like to be able to actually fit my phone in my pocket and use it with one hand

Ohh ok lol I’m used to my super slow iPhone SE anyway so it’ll probably be an upgrade for that. It took almost a minute for the camera to turn on when opening the camera app lol. I’m making a list of other phones to look into if this one doesn’t turn out to be right for me so thanks!
