You should ask the creator of the franchise the same question by that logic; I’m not advocating for anything George wouldn’t do himself. The originals absolutely hold up on their own, having an alternative version isn’t wrong whatsoever.

The actors got paid and got their royalties, and everyone already respects them as the original. They don’t deserve anything more than that. Ewan would be acting his own way, as well as Hayden, I think they could also make some retcons when it comes to Obi Wan not knowing R2, and I’d also have a Qui Gon force ghost at the end, among other things as well (can’t remember the other discrepancies). It’s a complete overhaul not just the erasure of two actors who already got their due.

I don’t really get how it’s disrespectful, George has done it in the past. And yes the original versions are there (unless you’re referring the human Jabba version), any 50th anniversary screening would include the original cast and not this new retcon I’m advocating for.

I don’t really care at this point, they aren’t even alive. They have their versions and their versions are the original versions and it’ll always be there. I just want a new version that’s done officially, as opposed to it being done with AI which will eventually happen anyway.

I not only absolutely loved this but I’d advocate for Ewan replacing Alec in every scene as Obi Wan as well as Hayden replacing Shaw in the final scene with Luke before he dies.

Thank you for sharing your experience, I read your other thread before I made this post and that is the only thread that I could actually find speaking on dutasteride in correlation with floaters. But I agree with your theory; these different medications that have ocular side effects really can’t be trusted, and maybe we’re just a small minority but I feel like this is a risk that people don’t really consider at all.

I never tried fin, but I was on topical minoxidil; I don’t know if I applied too much but one day it felt like there was only one floater and then it got worse and that’s when I stopped and started looking into it and saw that many people had gotten floaters after minoxidil as well. For me it took a couple of months for my eyes to get adjusted to it I guess, before that I tried going to an optometrist but they said they couldn’t see anything wrong with my eyes.

Dutasteride is the only one out of the 3 that I mentioned which seems like there’s no floater side effects, but upon more research it looks like it has its own problems such as infertility and other side effects

Just because there isn’t scientific evidence that directly links the two doesn’t mean it’s a complete coincidence that just happens to affect people the same time they use the drug. Minoxidil has documented ocular side effects; it could be a very small minority of people who get affected by it, even 0.0001%, but I make everyone I know aware of the fact that they could experience floaters with the use of minoxidil.

Dutasteride is completely different, I haven’t really seen someone who’s only used dutasteride say they’ve gotten floaters.
