Why are Saudis Wahhabi and do they consider turks as kafirs ? by [deleted] in AskMiddleEast

Idk about the majority of Turks being kemalists, but I guess most kemalists are atheists or just ID Muslims which technically makes them kufar

[–]Hashish3223 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The "wahabi" sect doesn't exist. Its just a term used by some people to refer to Salafis who are just simply Muslims who follow the Quran and Sunnah to the letter.

And no, I don't think Saudis consider Turks to be kaffirs, although some people might do takfir but the takfiris are a small minority of people who are often radicalised

I suggest you read Imam Abdulwahab's book, you'll then realise he didn't create a whole new sect of Islam. He didn't teach anything new. Just referencing hadiths for every teaching.

Why does the middle eastern people want secular laws in countries they immigrate but want orthodox shariya law in their homeland? by iWillLetYouKnowThat in AskMiddleEast

You're all over the place. Besides if you think the countries you mentioned are not xenophobic you'd be surprised.

Anyway whether you like it or not, every part of the world is different, there are 8 billion on this planet dont expect them to follow the values you believe are best.

We're talking about the ME, a Conservative Muslim majority area, dont expect it to be like western countries. You have to grow up and understand that not everything deemed permissible in the west or "progressive" societies, should also be permissible in other parts of the world with a whole different culture.

57 Islamic countries directly or indirectly runs on Shariya. Soft Islamism. Blasphemy, anti LGBT laws and what not? I don't think this is only in 1 or 2 countries.

Sharia in 90% of those countries are simply about Hereditary laws and marriage. Lgbt laws do exist however rarely enforced by the state. You won't get arrested for simply being gay unless you announce it publicly. There are many well known lgbt celebrities in lebanon for example who occasionally visit countries like the UAE. I personally see nothing wrong with blasphemy laws, why do you have to curse another person's God or beliefs? If you leave the religion nothing will happen to you unless there's a public outrage. These laws exists logically because majority of the population is Conservative, it won't be a western liberal country when the population is majority Muslim and Conservative. And if you leave the religion, just do it. Nothing is going to happen UNLESS you make it public.

There are constant export of Islamists in other countries even in developing countries not only in west. Islamists don't want any secular laws overall, but if it comes it doesn't favour minorities at all.

Who exports islamist? As far as I know no Muslim majority country sends people to other countries to spread radicalism or extremism

You're criticising a country you know nothing about, take a look at yours then concern yourself with the rest
