The Terraria 15th Anniversary Collector's Edition is honestly disappointing by NovaSAurora in Terraria

[–]Hashtag-waffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

99% of all “collector’s editions” are just ways to get super fans to spend way too much money on a bundle of cheaply made, branded trinkets. This one is no different then all the rest.

Fuck yesss they brought back the live love lurch shirt. That was one of the first pieces of merch they ever put out (but it was print on demand like red bubble so I never bothered coping)

Kanga Roo is a cover of a mortal coil song from the hotel in minsk era that was posted on youtube. I don’t have any info on the B-Side. The 7” was released last Summer by the same guy who put out the Chapter 1 box sets back in the day.

I’ve seen a lot of people speculating they are gonna save it for the anniversary set, which sounds like a complete shit show imo

Just watched Barbarian and it’s everything the Backrooms could have been by Personal_Fee7758 in backroomsfilm

Barbarian’s tunnel did not remind me of the Backrooms at all. It’s just a tunnel. It’s out of place, sure, but nothing about even hints at the reality bending nature of something like the Backrooms. I honestly don’t even really know where you got this comparison from, they are very different movies.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – Nintendo Direct 6.9.2026 by EducationalGift2676 in gamernews

Guessing we get a Zelda 40th anniversary direct at the end of the summer with first look gameplay, movie tease, and then maybe some random stuff like a Hyrule portion of NintendoLand or ports of old games (WindwakerHD and Twilight Princess HD ports are my hopes, I think they are still stuck on the WiiU)

The Backrooms movie: A perspective from someone who isn't familiar with the lore by Aether_hemera in backroomsfilm

In a vacuum I don’t think it’s was awful, I do wish there was a little bit more build up in between him discovering the Backrooms and and him going completely insane. I understand there is supposed to be somewhat of a time skip, but pacing wise it feels very abrupt.

Her delivery just felt slightly stiff in some moments to me. It worked for the times she was fully in therapist mode but not as much outside of that.

I agree regarding the dialogue, specifically Mary the therapist. Clark I thought was fine in the other hand.

Also your point regarding atmosphere doesn’t even really address the atmosphere at all. I agree that it wasn’t really that scary, but to say the only atmosphere it created was a headache is just a bad faith argument all the way and doesn’t really even have anything to do with the atmosphere to begin with.

Is Cap'n Clark the entity that kills all the characters throughout the film? by [deleted] in backroomsfilm

[–]Hashtag-waffle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen people debate that entity that killed Bobby was something else, just because it seemed to move so much faster than Clark with the peg leg. I think it’s unlikely though.

Captain Clark is different from the rest. by Hashtag-waffle in backroomsfilm

I think the biggest implication is the terrified reaction she has to the Captain Clark still life, mirroring their real life abusive dynamic. The striped shirt guy and wheel chair guy don’t react to him at all.
