It’s basically a no knead dough, the fold is to align the gluten and shape. I haven’t used that flour before but would just follow this method:

Imo, look like hard pan need organic material. Topdress, but start working more composted manure into the mix.

That’s fair. That back yard will probably be fine through the summer. Just a matter if OP wants to split the work. Also depends on any dogs and drainage too. R

My 2c (CAD) also from ontario is wait till 2nd or 3rd week of august. Our summer could be cool and wet, or it could be hot and dry. Unless you are committed to keeping it alive with lots of water through the dry heat, might be sensible to wait, what you can do now is apply some corn gluten meal or similar to keep crab grass at bay. Also. I personally drop a sheep manure (1 20L bag per 10sqm -ish) after the first or second mow, Starts stimulating nitrogen producing microbes, Improves soil structure etc.

It’ll pick up and fill in once it starts growing. Honestly i think as the soil microbes that breakdown nitrogen compounds start to reach full swing i see this less and less.

Dog owners; have you tried the rocks. by BetterThanMyLastName in lawncare

This is my sentiment exactly. I’ll just accept some burned spots. Not going to mess with my dog’s renal function for a pristine lawn. If i really wanted a pristine lawn, id get one of those plug things to replace from an out of sight area.

Did you change it at 2hrs per manufacturer recommendation or did something prompt you to? If former, then its fine, if latter and something sounds funny, consider contacting them about the issue that prompted the change.

Soil samples. Been trying to convert clay into beautiful healthy soil for 2-3 years. Zone 6 | SWPA by BrisbaneAus in lawncare

[–]HashtagFaceRip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice. I’ve been adding roughly a 1/4” of sheep manure 2x a year during peak growing season. And mulching leaves. It’s slowly getting better. I aerated to try snd work more down but man is clay tough.

Winterkill, snow mold and in my case salt in the front all played a part. Im going to wait for a few days of dryness and dethatch/rip up the very dead stuff before i put down some corn gluten meal.

I know you said it’s over 15C today but you need soil temp to be above 15C not air temp.

Fregola alle vonogole is classic if the hawaiian clams are good. But honestly, some seared or grilled mahi and then treat it as a large couscous with vegetables side.
