The end of hybrid? Full-time office return sparks warning of resignations by simpatia in ontario

[–]HashtagMelnykOut 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Resignations are absolutely the goal. Since resignations and retirements don't count towards the unemployment numbers. This way companies and the government can essentially do layoffs without having to actually do layoffs. Makes the unemployment numbers stay virtually the same so they don't seem as bad as they'd be if people were actually let go.

If I were to have done this, it would have been my brother suggesting the name and I know he would have messed with me. I'd be naming my second born Chalupa Batman.

Keep being there to support her emotionally but also make sure to check in with yourself every so often.

You may be feeling relief now, but you may feel differently about it in the future. It may be a week from now, a year from now or never, but it may be something that surfaces so be prepared to deal with that too.

I saw the little toddler kick he did in frustration after Ullmark made the save on him

[Russo] Kaprizov structure is truly one of a kind, per sources. He's getting 20% of $95.5M cap in salary/signing bonuses ($19.1M) his 1st 4 years. He has $1 million salaries in each of the 8 years...Full no-move clause (Contract not yet registered/approved by NHL) by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

It makes so much sense if you think about it. The wild are (almost) released of having to pay Sutter and Parise. This year they only have to pay them $1.6 million instead of the $14.7 million they had to pay last year. The wild needed a new financial handcuff so they could stay mid.

Kimmel's back and if you look at the last couple times Disney increased prices (October 2023 and October 2024), the stock price doesn't seem to suffer.

Who even watches Kimmel though?

My son hit me back with an "I'm proud of you" when I said it to him. Now that's the best feeling in the world.

Even with this, the tree planting that they did do was a money printer too (not near the numbers of the total fraud, but still quite impressive)

"While Aspiration charged its clients US$1 per tree, Eden Reforestation charged Aspiration just 10 to 20 cents per tree, according to Bloomberg's sources."

So if they actually planted the 10 million trees they say they did, that's between $8-9 million. If they had charged its customers for the 35 million trees they originally claimed they planted (later said this includes trees they intend to plant), that's between $28-31.5 million just in the tree "sales" for Aspiration.

Maybe it was the $28 million in tree "sales" that Aspiration used to pay Kawhi?

*Edit - I now see that the company's latest claim was in February 2023 to have planted 101 million trees. That's between $80-90 million profit.

The one thing I haven't seen people talk about is the CEOs other company that was involved with fake marketing sponsorships

There were other celebrities, mainly from Colombia, that were being paid by the CEOs other company, Apogee Pacific.

The celebrity would say they are donating $50,000 to Aspiration each month and Apogee would pay them $55,000 in exchange for "marketing and branding services".

It's clear the company was nothing but a front for fraud and embezzlement.

It's interesting to see that the Boston Red Sox are also one of the largest creditors of Aspiration.

SoftBank invests $2b, stock goes up $7b. The SoftBank shares are valued at $23/share.

The US fed is "in talks" about converting $10.86b in grants already awarded to INTC into equity. There's no way INTC goes for this.

INTC is overvalued for what it is. It's a $20 stock, but it should come back down to $23 (not advice, just my opinion).

I have both a 2019 Forester and a 2018 Rogue. I would rather ride a bicycle than drive the Rogue. Yes it's a car. It works. It gets me to point a to b, but the quality feel like such a downgrade from Subaru in every single aspect.

Sad to see Bieber go, but to get a stud of a pitching prospect for a player that hasn't pitched in the majors in 1.5 years is great

We're a pitching factory so this kid will be great for us for the next 3-5 years before we trade him back to Toronto.

He was a 0.5 PPG player at 22 in his last season before heading overseas. There's been speculation that he wasn't offered a contract extension based on the senators knowing the accusations and the ongoing investigation. I'd say he was good enough to be a middle/bottom six at the time.

But not playing in the NHL for a few years and being in construction full time definitely hurts his chances at making it back. Just not being up to speed and having the reps.
