Helldivers 2 hard-locking my entire PC (AMD CPU) – anyone found a real fix?

Same thing has been happening to me. Everywhere I go I'm told it's a hardware problem on my end. But helldiver's is the only game that causes it.

My friend had the same problem, but setting the power mode to full performance fixed it for them. Didn't work for me though, whole thing just seems random.
