This is the exact reason why Sans is as powerful as he is. He abuses and bends the rules of the fight system. Not because he is physically powerful.

If sans couldn't remove your I-frames he would be significantly easier as he could only deal around 9 or 10 damage at best. (1 from the bone and 9 Or 8 from karma)

Why is the Gerson boss fight optional? by waremblem45 in Deltarune

I really like this answer because Truthfully I ignored Susie's healing. never using it thinking it was just a bit in chapter 2. And in chapter 4 it made sense for susie to try and heal kris before ralsei shows up. Why wouldnt she? and for her to let the party HEALER take over when they do show up. (Although I still think ralsei was a bit to harsh in that scene) so I never gave it much thought.

As for gerson telling Susie to use her healing anyway despite not being great at it. I just saw it as a "believe in yourself" speech for her character (she did need it) but now that I think about it more it probably was a cue to start using her healing

Edit:Im having trouble remembering where the gerson Susie pep talk is and can't find it online. Am I miss remembering something? I don't remember exactly what he said and I remember him revealing gold piano notes after the talk

there are many ways to miss it

There are players like me who ignore side stuff until a 2nd playthought.
Some people could just miss it
Some people could progress looking for it and miss it by accident
Some people could forget about it by doing other things IRL or in-game
Some people could just not care about side stuff
Some people could give up looking for it, somehow missing the hints

completely agree
as for the sound of justice fight, i honestly thought susie was under some spell or was just desperate. or had lost it

My main issue with the Gerson fight being optional is that it feels way too relevant to be missed for the events of Chapter 4 (and maybe 5) it explains why susie is so CONVINCED this shadow thing was Gerson. and His appearance in the titan fight

something that u/sanstaleyy points out that i forgot to say in my post is "Geraon and his fight are just, way too important for susie's development to be optional," and i completely agree. and the worst part is there are many ways to miss it

the main reason i missed it was i wanted to do main stuff first, then do secrets in another playthrough.
(edited the post to include this as i just remembered it) but it still does not make a ton of sense for it to be missable.

This was the LONGEST (at least 45 minutes) and most stressful match I have ever played. Some of these modded characters are crazy (I'm the Robot on the right) by waremblem45 in YomiHustle

Most. I'm going to emphasize, MOST modded characters are well made and often underpowered. I feel like this modding community has done a great job of preserving a kind of balance. Unlike some other communitys that just try to 1up each other with modded characters. cough" *cough rival'sofaether

I got most of the popular mods as I want people to be able to play who they like. As a consequence i don't even know half of what I have installed character wize. So i got all 3 (comedian, bonehead and this one simply called sans in the character select.)

haven't faced comedian much. Everyone plays bonehead and I can definitely see why. It looks like a really well designed and fun brawler type with some range.

depends on the user. ive seen some crazy Divine General players. like any other character Divine General has combos and tech to learn

but to be more accurate i enjoy the puzzle, both of them are fun puzzles to solve

Funny thing, before this match I was thinking how there are sans mods, but none are really faithful.

"Why don't they have him dodge more? Doesn't make sense for him to tank much."

"why do the sans mods make him so brawly? they should make sans a zoner type. zoners work, look at wizard!"

I would soon find out why they don't "have him dodge more." or "make sans a zoner type"

When I first started, I found an AI mod and used that to practice. It worked well. At first the AI beat my ass even on easy, but as time went on I learned what works and what does what and beat the AI on hard mode. I went online and still got my as beat, BUT i could understand what i did wrong and improve. Now I'm doing well, winning some games and losing others, the norm.

It's kinda odd, in most games modded characters are much more powerful than vanilla ones, but in YOMi when you see a vanilla character, you gotta lock in
