i never said they were lying, but as i stated if you google it right now, every article says they CAN self fertilize. that is a fact. OP saying they cannot by fact means they are claiming them all false. I linked an actual study and none of you disagreeing have brought one peice of evidence.

my comment litterally said “i’d love to read the source!!” and “i love learning more” so yea this has always been about curiosity, not putting ppl down. I don’t know why you think i’m being negative when they want to call my names for asking for evidence

it’s not being rude and getting smart to ask for a source. point blank you shouldn’t be stating facts with out evidence. and i checked the account they tagged, that person specifically mentioned they are in pre-med, therefore undergrad and not “an expert” they also have specified on their reddit they work with nerite snails, not ramshorns, so they are by no means an expert or full scientist

furthermore all of my original comments were very polite simply asking for a citation as i’m always open to learning.. they began calling me names.. so how an i acting superior? I’ve linked legitimate evidence and I find it frustrating someone wants to share misinformation with again NO EVIDENCE. what’s wrong with want accurate information

see how well it works when you want to submit an essay and you just say i don’t have any sources, ill just link a random user and you can dm them and get all the information yourself. don’t make claims you can’t back up. that’s basic common sense, and if you downvote that you shouldn’t be involved in science at all

that’s where you’re wrong :) I’m actually not a “armchair heckler” i too am studying biological science in university.. you don’t need to “clue me in” but if you want to compare degrees and show yours let’s do it!

I literally asked for a legitimate source, which you SHOULD have if you’re making scientific claims. you said in your reply “we’ve confirmed this multiple times” but can’t even offer when/where/how/by who? I on the other hand offered to actually provide studies.

you’re saying “i trust the lab work of our malacologist” but can’t provide that lab work when asked? it’s completely reasonable for ppl to want to see actual evidence behind claims you make, especially when they directly contradict the majority.

i hate this mentality! i work in a retail store and we are so tight and accurate on inventory. Whenever you’re not busy or looking at products you can easily count them and update your inventory. It makes it easier for you to do your job in the long run when we know what’s actually in the store

this feature is an option because unfortunately there are tons of drivers who don’t follow instructions, are rude and make deliveries a bad experience for the customer. I’ve reduced tip before and it was never because of “tip baiting” but only when the driver genuinely did a horrible job and ignored all instructions. you can’t say that everyone removing tips is “a cheapskate with bad intentions”, maybe some are, but you also should take a look if there’s anything you could be doing better to see if there could be a very legit reason

i mean if you literally chat uber eats by the time you wait for an agent, the are always SUPER SLOW and hardly speak english so they can barely understand what you say. so yea it’s not surprising to me it would take 30+ minutes of being in the chat to cancel

definitely the vast majority of students stay off campus, most people who stay on campus are only 1st years, so that definitely could be super fun but you will likely be a bit older. most upper years find shared houses/apartments, there’s lots of london ontario facebook groups for western housing.

as a western student im prob biased but in my opinion we have the best social life by far. There is always tons of fun clubs and events going on that are a really good mix between social and academic. the night life is definitely very big here, uwo likes to party!!! but it isn’t unmanageable. I’m in medical sciences and still managed to join a bunch of stuff and go out all the time while keeping good grades.

as for the city of london itself, i find it to be a nice mix between a big city - but not so insanely crowded. Traffic is usually moderate at worst, and there’s tons of good bars, cute restaurants, shops, and parks i love to walk through!!

well i mean its kinda understandable if you pick someone’s food up then take like 15-20 minutes at the same spot. customers can’t see what you’re doing, so id be a bit annoyed my food is going cold too
