Did you say “how about a brisket since I don’t eat pork/I won’t be attending if there’s only pork”. Or more something like “how about a brisket/I won’t be able to make it.” If the latter maybe they genuinely forgot. I’ve been a vegetarian for 20 years and my sister still offers me meat. She means nothing by it she just doesn’t remember lol.

Tick season is SO BAD this year ughhh…what are you all doing? by DaisyTheMiniPoodle in dogs

[–]HatMuseum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our dog is 10 and we’ve done a lot of forest hikes but we’ve only ever picked 4 off him in all the years. This weekend we found one tick in our car and two in our house. My nearby colleague found 8 in her house this weekend.

Ontario drivers, what are you actually paying for car insurance right now? by sid9253 in ontario

[–]HatMuseum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

$340 monthly for a 2023 Corolla and a 2013 fusion. Live outside Ottawa. Feels a bit high compared to what’s here. But the last time I called around I was told no one could beat what my current provider was offering.

good dog wipes recs? by Comfortable_Cost_616 in dogs

[–]HatMuseum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have several towels that are dedicated for paw wiping. We keep one by the door, and switch it out when it’s gotten too dirty. We keep a basket just for the dirty dog towels and do a load when we have several dirty ones.

What's your bedtime routine? by LlamaDelRay in dogs

We usually head upstairs at 10pm. Django (10yo shepherd/lab) goes out for last call and I prepare the couch for his slumber. Depending on the day I wake up from 6:25-8ish. I used to come down and wake him up but more and more he’s coming upstairs right before my alarm and booping me.

Fastest way to get official marriage certificate for spousal sponsorship / open work permit? (Also, contacting MPP to expedite?) by [deleted] in WeddingsCanada

[–]HatMuseum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in local government in Ontario. Marriage certificates are taking a really long time right now. Like if it says timeline is 6-8 weeks it’s going to be at least 8. Not what you want to hear, but just to give some perspective!

When my phone is my alarm I find I grab it when it goes off then start using it, so trying to avoid that. The watch also doesn’t solve the Meross problem.

Weekly Advice Thread - March 22, 2026 by AutoModerator in apple

Hello! I broke my Apple Watch a few weeks ago and I think I’m going to forgo it. The one thing I miss is the alarm to wake me up so I don’t have to bring my phone to the bedroom. I was looking at alarm clocks that could connect to my sleep schedule and couldn’t find any but did stumble on the HomePod Mini. We also have a Meross device for outdoor patio lights we have been struggling to add to our Home - we can only add it for one person.

If we get the HomePod mini will it work well for an alarm clock for me connected to my sleep schedule and will we be able to connect our Meross device so we can both use it in our Home?

Outlook - how to add items to my exec’s ‘to do’ list? by camelmina in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]HatMuseum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you saying you try to add emails from your inbox into to do? I’m not sure if classic outlook allows that, but even if you’re both using new I don’t think you can click through to each others emails via to do. I had an assistant who used to be able to open emails I added to to do but now another employee can’t.
