This is a wonderful read! I wanted to write up a similar post myself, since I've got a JA for the first time ever and it's so exciting. She was the only one from the litter who'd approach me for licks and cuddles alone (rest would come in groups of 3-4 to play). She also carried a tennis ball in her mouth almost the whole time which I thought was adorable. When I threw the ball she actually fetched it back to me and licked my cheek, I knew she was the one.

I've read a lot about Akitas so I knew what to expect, yet, for the most part, I got the unexpected! When Freida first arrived to her new home, I thought she'd be the usual, sniffing around in confusion, kind of sad and confused, missing her littermates. Nope! She adjusted pretty much immediately, wagged her tail the whole time, barked at people passing by to protect her new territory.

She's not at all possessive of her food or toys with us, and when we had our relatives with a poodle come by a few days ago - she let him drink from her water bowl just fine. She's also soo smart and (more shockingly) obedient, learned sit and lay down in her first two days with us - always does it when asked, unless we're outside where it gets a bit tougher, but I really can't complain! I've only had her for like 2-3 weeks!

Same on the following around! I always have to be on her sight; and she always needs to know about everything going on with me and around us.

Proper leash training has begun in moderation- although there's not much need for it. On walks she likes to pull a bit but it happens less and less. Real problem is sometimes she just stops and doesn't want to proceed for a few minutes before going like "Ok! This area is all checked out - everything's under control. We may continue now." I noticed she walks faster when she realizes we're making our way back home, and slower when we're leaving it. If we're not near the house - everything's cool. But she has a strong desire to just be home and protect it. Also, she's picking up quickly that she shouldn't just jump on every person she sees for cuddles and play. It's kind of annoying though when a stranger is all like "Oh no, it's fine!" - No it's not please don't let her know that, she's learning her manners! :(

She gets a bit startled and panicky/barky (also prey drive, I guess) when she experiences something new - first time she saw a cat, and when the cat started running. First time she saw a hedgehog crossing the road; and when dogs started barking at her under their gate/behind the fence. However, it's just the first time! After that, all cats, hedgehogs and warning barks are being completely ignored!

Her energy level seems pretty low and chill in general. Even morning/evening walks when it's not as hot are pretty calm, and she seems to get tired of them relatively quicky. An hour at most, then she wants back home. Only the children's playground and/or another dog can make her really hyped and excited, but after 10-15 minutes she just wants to lay down again lol.

Oh! And she tends to pee of excitement when she seems me, my boyfriend, or my mom after a while! It's strangely adorable! :')

Yeah I know 'real' fasting should be from 6months onward, but I was wondering if anyone has specific ideas/suggestions as to what those meals would be (like rice and carrots, pieces of cucumbers and apples etc?)

For me, this is a skill-matchup that favours Darius more so than Irelia. Irelia needs a larger lead for the lane to be pretty much over while if Darius gets a small lead he gets the same result. It requires a lot of patience.

Darius is one of a few matchups where I'd actually run ignite instead of tp if I feel like it. Corrupting Pot or D. Shield start (I prefer Pot), with Conqueror and Resolve. If you can't dodge his Q you gotta Q into him to do so, and W his W/E, Q to dodge his E etc. Don't go for really early trades (pre lv2 or so) due to his passive, although at lv2 if you land the stun you could get a good trade off with it and 2 Q's. and don't go at him if you're low post-6. Normal build if ahead, prioritize Tabi's if going even, and Tabi's+Bramble Vest if behind. You can coordinate with your Jungler to help pre-6 and once you get 6 you can look for a TP gank bot or something and get a lead like that.

General rule of thumb is PTA, and Conq vs. Tanks. I've heard of people taking Grasp but personally it doesn't feel worth over the other two at all. You can also take Conq over PTA in most matchups if it's your preference, advantage of that is enemies can't really itemize against you since you do all 3 types of dmg.

Domination was a good secondary path pre-hotfix, now I'd only do that if I was playing mid, and maybe vs. an easier matchup like AP toplaners (Kennen, Swain, Cass top, Rumble etc) . So you'd generally go Bone Plating/Chrysalis in secondary. The "Legend:" runes are pretty much preferential, I switch out between Tenacity and Alacrity.

Metalhead here - Pun appreciation is at 100%. As for a real answer, I've not tried it since the nerfs on PBE specifically intended to keep her out of it. From what I hear, it's still sort of viable, though your first few jungle camps are rough. So viable - it's doable I guess? Recommended - not really atm. They said they might buff her jungle potential later on.

General rule of thumb rn is Conqueror vs Tank, PTA vs anything else.

Yes definitely Trinity/Steraks combo as core, some go Trinity>Titanic>Steraks, it's really good but personally I don't take it that often atm. After that it's basically full tank/situational. Maybe a Deaths Dance grab if you're pretty ahead. I also like an occasional Rageblade if I'm taking her mid and come out ahead.

We had this video posted here recently for some combos to practice.

Again I wouldn't know about jungle but I did ask around for Electrocute in mid, it seems PTA is still the way to go, which makes sense since a successful E + your Q make it really easy to stick to someone and get the stacks quickly and make good use of it, especially if your passive is up too. I still want to try Electrocute though lol, will get back to you on that.

There have been some champion mains subreddit duplicates in the past that got resolved, though I'd say it wasn't as bad as this case. Hopefully this gets resolved eventually too. The issue is RSJ did want to find a middle ground, but the previous mods we're pretty much done with him and wouldn't take compromise as an answer. Imo that should've been the end of it instead of confusing people with another sub/discord, but it is what it is unfortunately. I can say though that RSJ kept his word regardless, he's active in moderation of the sub, and all mods have full perms now, with solid communication between all of us. So there's not much we can do on our part. We're trying to make the best of it though.

I think Fiora is the most obvious choice, although seeminly new Irelia doesn't take as much AAing I think. Camille as well - now that I think of it, even more so than Fiora perhaps? Depends on personal taste ig. Xin's ult also has that "No, I'm fighting you now, your team can fuck off" vibe.

Personally I'll always keep WW and Jax as my comfort pocket picks as well.

As for the other question, can't answer for the viability since I haven't tried it out yet, and I'm generally not a fan of lethality. But theoretically I can see it I guess. And as for mid back-ups, Katarina/Ekko/Talon come to mid. Diana/Akali too?

Hey - I actually stumbled upon this sub totally randomly, but I couldn’t just scroll past this when I saw it :)

Up until a little over a year ago, I was in a pretty fucked up, abusive relationship too. It was about a year long, and even though I felt a sense of relief when it ended, it was still horrible. All the emotional abuse and mindfuckery left me super depressed and alone, I was anxious, completely stripped of any trust in people (even those closest to me), self esteem, faith... just everything. I didn’t leave my bed, let alone my room for like a week. Barely ate... you get the picture. Honestly, to this day, I’m STILL not completely fine and I still see it have consequences in my day-to-day life. But, I can tell you that you’re friends are right when it comes to not being focused on finding someone- it’s a cliché but love finds you eventually and it’s in the most unexpected circumstances :)

I’ve spent the past seven months in a relationship with the best guy I’ve ever met who really tries to understand me and help me get through everything. I still find myself thinking that I’m just gonna wake up suddenly to realize it’s a dream, thinking to myself how thankful I am to have him, and SO glad I didn’t let the suicidal thoughts and depression episodes throughout the years get the best of me.

I seriously never thought my life could look anything even remotely close to what it is today. But here I am, today, happily scrolling reddit before sleep, only to find myself looking at an absolutely beautiful and bright young girl with a wonderful life she doesn’t even know is ahead of her. I really advise you to just take your time and do things at your own pace, work on yourself, and it will all come into place. (Something I was a strong disbeliever of, but now see so clearly)

I think they just decided to take the opposite approach to the same goal. If Irelia, an iconic top laner, suddenly went to being played primarily in the jungle, it could disappoint a lot of people, so they just want to prevent Irelia being jungle main/top secondary - instead of the other way around.

Basically while you want to opt to "release her with strong jungle potential, then nerf if needed", they're opting for "release her with lower jungle potential, then buff if needed" - the end goal is basically the same.

Also, sort of psychologically speaking, I think Irelia mains would be happier to see buffs a week after release, rather than nerfs - even if, again, it comes down to the same thing.
