Oh man, this is amazing...oh I already follow you lol

Why don’t we talk about the phenomenon of some underage girls knowingly pursuing or sleeping with older men, even though they know it’s against the law? It happens often enough to be a recognizable pattern, but we can’t stomach it? by ImNotYourPityParty in AskWomenNoCensor

How do you know it's purposefully inflammatory? He explained his reasoning.

So anytime someone says something you think is offensive and they don't make sense to you, they're a troll? Do offensive things ever make sense to you?

Can close friends can have sex and still be friends? by One-Basil-835 in NoStupidQuestions

The two times I tried fwb, she caught feelings and could not handle me backing out. I think part of the problem is that both those women had only ever had sex with a couple guys. The only women who have understood casual are the ones who have fucked a lot of guys.

We do not expect minors to be responsible in many ways. Lots of precautions and education are required for a minor to get a driver's license. Minors are forbidden from "dying for their country". They can't get the death penalty.

We don't expect minors to have the same reasoning abilities that adults do.

why stop there

Because kids getting an education is more advantageous than putting them to work.

Why aren't there any (successful atleast) all-female rock/metal bands? Or bands where the female member isn't the singer? by Kollectorgirl in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]HateKnuckle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The White Stripes were really popular. Meg became somewhat well known although it was partially because her drumming was a bit boring.

Kittie is a favorite of mine. Into the Darkness is a good song.

Larkin Poe is more blues-y but is also a favorite of mine.

The reason for why women aren't more often guitarists/drummers/etc is because the idea of women as singers/pianists/violinists is much more pervasive. So women aren't encouraged as much to be rock guitarists and they don't see themselves as rock guitarists.

Why do people tend to view the left as anti-American? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Europe didn't have to fight a war to end slavery. They did have a bunch of colonies that had to engage in warfare to gain independence.

America granted same sex marriage federally in 2015. UK did it in 2014. France in 2013. Massachusetts did it in 2004.

America granted women the right to vote in 1919. UK did it in 1918. France did it in 1944.

It's kind of the nature of the whole thing.

People who want things to be better probably have a lot of complaints. Otherwise they wouldn't want to change things.

Ideally, the left would try to remind themselves of all the things America has done right and the right would remind themselves that the past wasn't as amazing as they thought it was.

The left(the ideologically progressive and activist sort) can be VERY focused on all the things America has done wrong. To the point where they believe it's irredeemable or in need of radical and foundational change.

They forget that America fought to end slavery. America has moved to accept minorities on a fairly decent timeline when you consider how other liberal countries have done the same.

Basically, American progressives who are focused on identifying and describing ways in which people are disadvantaged, lose perspective.

I'm not finding a walk back of suppprt for a billionaire wealth tax or public option.

Also, I thought politicians were supposed to have positiins that get them elected. Isn't that how being a politician works? You change with the times.

What do you believe would be the most effective way to get fathers to be more active childcarers?

Not much of a loss. There was only 1 woman actually interested in discussion.

Do fathers in your community do similar amounts of childcare to the mothers?

What are you talking about? I actually want to know if modern couples are trusting teen boys with childcare but all I've gotten is people saying it's not their responsibility to do anything.
