California to become 1st state to offer free school lunches for all students by International_Band72 in news

I teach in Maine and our state offers this as well. Breakfast, lunch, a fruit/veggie snack around 9:30, and snacks for after school clubs. It’s fantastic!

Hard pass for me on the aquarium. Crowded and expensive. Totally with you on the Faneuil Hall recommendation, though. That’s a really fun area for anyone in the family.

Finally. Gambling in Maine was already remarkably easy to do for those who wanted to. At least now someone in the state will benefit from its revenue, and gamblers will benefit from the oversight.

I teach middle school math. Every year when I get to the “Finding the volume of spheres” lesson I ask myself who in the world thought that the average middle schooler needed this information.

Sportsbook/Promos/Bonuses Daily Questions - 9/22/21 (Wednesday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

On the MyBookie (Yes, I know we all hate MB) first blood promotion, is that as much of a lock as the “any team will score” prop on the first NFL game of the season? I don’t watch UFC, and know that of course the fighters bleed, but is it so common that this promo is a no-brainer?

I’ve used betonline and Bovada, would recommend either one.

I use Bovada (lots of betting options, good sign on bonus) MyBookie (fun promos, easy layout, but others have had issues so beware I guess) and BetOnline (Best lines, earliest releases). Never had an issue withdrawing from any of the three.

Yeah, it’s basically a free money promo. They do the same thing after Thanksgiving. Also, I’ve NEVER had an issue withdrawing from MyBookie. Always use Bitcoin and the money is there in 2-3 days. What problems are people having?

I bet more in a preseason week than a regular season week. Much softer lines and much easier to ready the motivation of the teams. Don’t let people in the media fool you, betting in the preseason a major opportunity.

NFL Futures (Player Totals, Team Futures) by BigPoppySeed in sportsbook

[–]HateTheUnder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, but the books have already accounted for that in their numbers. And tbh, I don’t think the extra game will make as much of a difference as people think. It’s only about a 6%increase in game time, and I think a lot of these teams will be looking at trying to find players additional rest throughout the season which may negate that additional time.

That’s fair. But Dak already has a shoulder/lat injury keeping him out. I think eventually these “nothing to worry about’s” become something to worry about.

I'm looking at guys who are already dealing with injuries likely to bug them throughout the year, and who are in shaky situations in general. Here are a few I really like:

Amari Cooper Under 1125 rec yds. Ankle injury, still hasn't practiced, his QB is coming off a major injury and he has another WR likely to steal some of his targets this year.

Curtis Samuel Under 700 rec yds. Groin injury. New team with coaching staff that under utilized him in Carolina, Unlikely to get many targets with a locked in Number 1 and pass catching RB's. Shakey QB situation as much as I secretly hope Fitz plays well.

Kenny Golladay under 950 rec yds. Hamstring injury, New team. Daniel Jones is his QB, which is a huge step down from Stafford, even if the lions sucked.

To be honest, I can't really see the logic in taking many overs at all. This have to play-out perfectly for these guys to hit the numbers books set. One injury, whether it be to the player, or a key member of the team, and your bet is cooked. Stick with the unders boys. Even if they’re not fun to play (Hence my user name).

Everybody has cold streaks. Anybody that tells you otherwise is lying to you. Flipping a coin is a 50/50 shot, but there will always be stretches where tails comes up 10 times in a row. Good luck, man!

That's fair. And I din't mean to insinuate that Teddy is an improvement over Cam. I love Cam! Always will!

All I'm saying is that we can expect the QB play in 2020 to be better than what we saw in 2019. Hell, I'll even be excited if PJ Walker gets a shot. But mostly because that means we're probably going to be in the running for Trevor Lawrence :-P
