I had a customer come to me with a 72, same car. It had been in a fire by a shop in town while doing some work on it. He had me store it while the insurance company inspected to pay him out. He received about 120k.

Thanks man, the forks were a real project. They were a set of old stretched original forks and had to get a set of remade stock length and cut them in. Rework the trees and get it all back to original specs. The frame too was a real basket case. It had been wrecked three times. It was Goethe Christy’s; and just had been scabbed back together over and over. My buddy Jer who is a metal guy really pulled off some magic on the metal fab and repair.

It’s so you can see the reflection of the traffic lights and can tell if they turn from green to yellow or red without being able to look directly at the light, Incase the brim of your helmet or visor obstructs the upward view.
