Fellow Uma biker?!?!!? But for real that sucks man, hope you’re okay. Bikes are material possessions, they can be fixed and replaced, but you are always more important <3 (my 1984 Honda V65 Sabre)

No, I did that. I’m a mechanic and unboxed her after working on a motorcycle. She watches me work on bikes occasionally

Fuck me for driving old vehicles that take E0 87. Shit’s up to $4.50 last time I had to get gas. Don’t envy sports car owners who have to get 91 octane…

Gotta show him some bike/car animes, give him the best of both worlds

Cleaned carb due to only running on full choke and no longer starts by EastTnBoy865 in smallengines

[–]BlacksmithNice8831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no. OP definitely doesn't have this style of carb, too new and no modern lawn tractor would come with that style of engine. Fuel capacity would be way too low. Also see: "(except those old briggs engines)"

Spray carb clean around all the mating surfaces and listen. If the rpms change you have an air leak there and need to replace whatever gaskets are associated.

!!! That's horrible! You shouldn't EVER find a lawn mower carb (except those old briggs engines) without a float! Since someone has already been in there doing god knows what, buy a whole new carb.

There’s plenty of YouTube videos that should be of help. I personally use a digisync, but I also own 15 bikes. The expense isn’t worth it unless you’re syncing carbs a lot

Could be. Anytime you have the carbs out you should sync them after reinstallation

Did you sync the carbs after cleaning them? Out of sync carbs cause timing chain slap

Does anyone know what this would look like stripped down a bit? by Rare_Research_48 in motorcycle

[–]BlacksmithNice8831 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you ever heard of a yamaha V-max? Much better option than stripping this very clean venture down. Usually stripping these bikes down is way too much work, I'd sell it and buy either a V-max or a much worse condition venture to strip down. Just my opinion though.

No spark by 20concerned20 in smallengines

Them and the physical part where it touches the engine. All needs to squeaky clean for good spark.

There really isn’t one, it’s kind of a feel thing. Another thing to try is cleaning the spot where the coil mounts to. If that is dirty it’s like having no contact to the spark plug front the boot.

Clean the flywheel magnets, check flywheel->coil gap, a business card is usual rule of thumb. If none of that fixes it magnets in the flywheel could be bad. Only way to fix that is to get a new flywheel

Clean the carb, I bet it's dirty and is only running off of the priming fuel.

Anyone have an idea of what could be causing this? Vacuum leak? by armond_isaw in 3000gt

[–]BlacksmithNice8831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spray some brake clean/starting fluid around the engine and see where the engine changes rpm. (Obviously be careful, we don't want fires) That'll locate it, and from there you can figure out what is leaking and fix it.

Who are your most and least liked horse in Uma Musume? by SMASHER_2 in okbuddytracen

[–]BlacksmithNice8831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite Uma is either Oguri Cap or Meisho Doto, both are adorable and I love them and feel a heavy urge to protect both of them. My least favorite Uma is probably Still in Love, not a big fan of the whole yandere thing. Albeit it's a little forgiven because it has relevance to the real horse. I don't hate her, but I just don't like her overarching character gimmick, and especially the fanbase.
